Got my SFV preorder today. Got the PC version on Greenmangaming because they give me a 30% voucher and I couldn’t miss that
I went with the PC version because I already have a really good PC and don’t feel like spending $400 on a new console. Glad the game is crossplay, so I can play with some PS4 peeps.
currently working on build using a mini ITX case that is similar to the one in that video. I will be using mostly used parts (CPU and GPU) but I will try to keep it as close to that build price as possible (the one in the video on the first page 356 usd)
Just some preliminary pricing and even without pricing things like monitor or OS its going to be very difficult to do it, especially in the case I selected but I will keep you guys updated.
Also I am a noob at this stuff so if I am able to get a decent rig up and running anyone can. Those SF PC requirements are junk though lol, no way it needs that graphics card.
Once I get the case I picked out in the mail I’ll take size comparison pictures to give everyone an idea on the size and what not.
They sent me a 30% off comeback voucher because I haven’t use that account for quite sometime. It was tight to my account though. Got Fallout 4 and SFV with it.
They always sending 23%/25% vouchers though. They have a 23% one on their webpage at this moment. This one 23PERC-AUTUMN-SAVING
Well yeah you could wait to see if they send you a better offer. My experience with gmg have always been good. Though be careful if you want to get the game preload in time for beta. If they get an overload of buyers they might take a little time to send keys. That happen to me only once though, preorder the game in the last day before launch. They didn’t send the key at time for preloading the game but they did send the key later at launch day.
Are you subscribe to their email newsletter? They usually send the better vouchers trough email
Just to keep you guys updated, brought my first piece to my PC. Went with a i5 6500 skylake processor. Got it for a steal at 89 bucks new. For those who don’t know it’s pretty much the lga 1155 equivalent to the recommended processor capcom says you need, but with DDR 4 ram. Won’t have the build done by tomorrow obviously but I’ll have it finished for the third beta and I’ll post full price guide as well as performance on SFV for those thinking of building their own.
Re: PSN wifi warriors. How do we know most PC users arent wifi? I built a PC and didnt include a wifi card because wifi sucks but I freely admit to being a freak. My speakers are bi-wired, etc.
It’s just assumed that most people who play games on PC have decent desktops that use wired connections, I guess. I’m sure there’ll be a bit of people playing on laptops while using wifi. I also know a few people with wifi cards in their desktops, as weird as that is. I’ve got a LAN switch to cover all my devices, personally.
If you have a PC powerful enough to be playing modern games chances are you are tech literate enough to know to be wired in video games.
Not to mention, desktops don’t usually have wifi capabilities meanwhile PS4’s userbase is full of tech-illiterates who understandably don’t want wires running across their homes.
You might find some small % playing wifi on PC but its really more of a console problem.
