PS2/PS3 compatibility stuff

can someone clarify? I’m getting mixed messages from the above series of quotes. I want to get a PS3 soon, most likely a refurbed 60GB for full BC, and probably 2 HRAP3s. PS2 games will work fine using a HRAP3?

Yes, especially since the HRAP3 is an official controller programmed for the Ps3, and has all the home and other Ps3 only buttons that you need. Ok, All controllers MADE SPECIFICALLY for the ps3 will 100 percent work unless they’re faulty in their own way. Now with converters, some say you don’t need one, but everytime I’ve played BC games I needed to use the PS button, and I think for most of your controllers you will. The HRAP3 has that so you’re fine anyways, but then the people who don’t need the PS button mention that they plug it in after they load the Ps2 game. So maybe that gets rid of the PS button necessity. But I’m not sure 100 percent about that. Also, any analog button on a DualShock or Digital pad will act as a PS button anyways and will allow you to use all the PS button functions normally within all games.

Has anybody tried a HRAP3 on a ps2 console? (Not ps2 mode on ps3)

So the Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 USB Stick will work 100% for Street Fighter 3rd Strike? I read somewhere that there were issues where the stick would randomly register the up signal. Has this been fixed? Does anyone use this exact setup currently?

Can anybody expand on this?

Does it affect the analog stick(s) as well? And if it’s digital pad only, how about diagonals? This would probably be fairly easy to work around if you could charge by holding :db: all day without it cutting out…

How about:[LIST]

I’ve been using the Logic3 with a Nubytech pad, and can confirm that all 8 directions can be held for at least 10 seconds, without anything dropping. Based on about 2 hours of play, it seems responsive enough. It also, rumbles with a DualShock2, etc.
