I know that people have some problems using non-dual shock PCBs with xbox converters, (like using a HRAP with your Xbox) so I’m assuming it is something like that going on.
VF5 works with ths http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10085642&catid=24378
it has PS button on it’s side
I will test rumble tonight with for PS2 games with my old Dual Shocks
How’s that thing for lag? And I’ll check futureshop later for it.
Anyone know if an unmodded Hori T5 stick works with VF5? Not the HRAP.
Ok I just bought one, I tried it out so far with my DS1 PCB custom stick on the following PS3 games: TK5:DR and Power Smash 3, it works great, just like the elecom101 or maybe even better than the elecom101. The real test is VF5, because with the elecom101, I experience a tiny bit of lag which affects gameplay. I’ll test out the ASID converter with VF5 and my HRAP1 later, which I kinda stopped using ever since final_cut’s custom came in for me. For PS2 BC, it works like the elecom101, possibly better, and unlike the elecom101 from my current experience, it doesn’t have the weird glitch with an enabled internet connection which disconnects you after 10 minutes. If your custom stick has an analog button, or you are using a PS2/PS1 pad, this will map the analog button to the PS Button, so no need to reach for the adapter all the time.PostedfromPS3.
with this firmware update can i just plug in my fs3 and play 3s?
works just fine for me. anyone tried bc with hrap3? i don’t mind dropping some money if this now works with bc.
droooooooool
i cant wait till i get both those things this weekend ^_____^
What joysticks specifically work with this? I have an HRAP1 along with a generic USB to PS2 adapter, and only the buttons worked. I think the obvious reasons were:
- There was no PS button to turn the analog on
- The HRAP only has digital input, not analog
If that converter does allow digital input, then I will definitely buy one. I just need confirmation.
That’s some truly wicked news! Thanks for the info, agentz.
I feel super bad for DreamTR and the boys over at Pelican who have been working hard on a solution. I wonder if they’ll even bother releasing it now.
Sorry if I’m being thick-headed… I just wanted to clarify: do you mean that they also fixed this problem?
i have a 2 player ps->usb converter
i tried two dif sticks
one DS and another t5 hori
and both worked perfectly
now ima practice vf5 see all you at evo
The T5 hori worked fine for VF5? Do you have an analog button on your USB converter?
The ASiD wonder-converter, isn’t as wonderful as I firstly thought according to a test from SDTEKKEN, it suffers from the same flaw as the Logic3 PS915 - it drops your input after # seconds. ASiD drops your command after holding LEFT for 7 seconds, which is a improvement to Logic3’s which does the the same after only 3 seconds. How come all controller converters, that doesn’t suffer from major lag issues have this freakin’ flaw…?
That’s sex, and I will never be owning a PS3
I have bought a convertor recently. I tried to play Tekken 5: DR, which is downloadable on the store and only analog sticks were working. HRAP didn’t work. The convertor was standard PlayStation-to-USB.
Dual Shock 2 worked only with analog on, which is OK.
Maybe HRAP works for games from PS2 discs, but T5DR has no disc, so…
That’s my experience.
My Super Joy Box 3 Pro dosen’t work too good with PS3. The X and Circle buttons were flip floped and the Triangle and Square bottons were flip floped as well. The D-pad also dosen’t work. My RadioShack converter works fine.
Morphia,
Yes, the VSHG works on PS2 BC games for the PS3 but the HRAP3 from what I’ve heard does not. Unfortunately the VSHG still does not work perfectly with DR, maybe if Sony could expand the backwards compatibility issue with giving you a software option of switching from Analog to Digital then maybe the VSHG would be a flawless stick.
By the way, if you want to play DR flawlessly, the Elecom 101 converters are more of the way to go and I regret selling mine now since I got the 201s instead.
I am sorry if this has been asked already, but can you use this on PS3 and 360? Since they are both USB? It would be sweet to have one be all end all converter for next gen shit.
^^ is that the one thats like $80?
I don’t understand the drops your command after holding Left for a certain amount of time. What do you guys mean by it, it disconnects you or something? I guess I’ll do more tests, because I have yet to encounter that problem.
