Yeah, please test this. Just hold a single direction at the time, possibly one minute or something, so we know for sure it doesn’t drop your command.
I think it’s because the 201s have an analog signal to the converter since it works for VF5. When I play Nina, I seem to be missing some of my jap combos when I SS+2 from the Player 2 side. The SS+1 sometimes does not come out at all after I do DF+3, 2. Some of my friends were also complaining about not being able to wavedash with Mishimas properly either.
Raven117, if you read this thread people have tried the HFS3 and it does not work on PS2 games.
I’m going to wait to see what people have to say about the Pelican converters before I go out and buy one. Considering that this is the same company that people on SRK complained about their controllers burning out their PS2 ports.
Sony’s 1.7 firmware is great, but I do think they need to take the update a little further especially for controllers that don’t give you the option to select either Digital or Analog control like the HRAP3, I would like to use my VSHGs properly for DR.
the fucking shit won’t work with the RedOctane adapter and an HRAP =(
I have a noob question!!!i bought a PS2 TO USB CONVERTER and hooked it up to my friends PS3 to play with my HRAP2(i dont think he has downloaded any firmwarethe buttons worked backwards and the stick didnt move so…we tried to to play TEKKEN DR! i think the brand name of the converter is HVG2. you guys have any answers that would be helpful???
Sadly, it does drop the connection, but it only drops it when you hold the LEFT direction on the dpad/stick/whatever digital thing for a long period of time. Yeah it sucks so close, yet so far. I don’t believe it’s a FW issue since the Elecom 101 does not have this problem, and I didn’t notice it before since I usually backdash or forwarddash more than straight walking.
At least they’re getting there. =/
I think it’s some kind of curse. I think MarkMan tested it to be 7 seconds, but this isn’t good enough. I’m crossing my finger’s so hard, no lag and no command drops on Pelican, please.
wait so can u play ps2 games with a hori hfs3? i tried but it says “press ps button”, and the home button on the stick doesnt do anything…yeesh.
Neither HRAP3 nor FS3 work with PS2 games… only VSHG.
is the button mapping for the VSHG the same in both BC and PS3 games?
just got the pelican converter. bought 2 of em at EB Games, all they had left.
Anyway, I only tested them on DR. But damn they work fucking great. I tested my customer with a ps one dual shock PCB, no problems, no lag. I also tested another custom with a SF Anniversary controller pcb, no lag. haven’t tested on VF5 or 3S. Not my PS3. Ill try it later this week.
Edit: The ps home button is on the converter itself. Which is a God send. Also no worry about a controller having an analog option, at least so fa. I wanna test it on my old digital ps one pads and on other fighting games.
