IIRC, bomb disposal robots aren’t that uncommon in police forces and haven’t been uncommon for several years. It’s pretty whatever, IMO. A bomb disposal robot makes more sense than a giant armored vehicle for a small town of 8500 people.

Seriously, a bomb disposal robot will likely never get used, except with ‘suspicious packages’, but it’s not like they’re sending them in to beat citizens. I have no problem with a cop getting their hands on that.

Listen I crossed the fucking line when I called you a racist. That was just me getting absolutely angry about what you said about the black community because truly I get tired of people lumping us together as one big “community” who wants to pass the buck and those who do speak out are seemingly treated as “the bright boys”. The fact is that this whole debate about accountability in our black neighborhoods and taking care of our shit is a way of life and the community outreach neighborhoods I mentioned (who I personally worked for) is part of the fabric in the Racine and Milwaukee neighborhoods. That’s what bothered me the most. And Camacho we see that shit all the time about some brotha who claims racism when they get arrested for a gun, child support, or dope charge when it comes out; whoops they had bad plates.

You just shake your head and say “homie you’re part of the problem.” Oh and never mind that the white guy blaring the metal music also got pulled over last week for having bad plates. It’s the end of the month and quota time coming forth and you just came from a bar out in the middle of the county where the cops runs everybody’s plates in the parking lot. Of course they are going to run your plates…that’s what they do!
Yet this shit with Michael Brown was different. We still don’t know what was the reason behind the shooting and we will never know and I don’t know how anybody can take anybody’s side of the story seriously. Yet what we do know about the fact that the kid was shot 6 times after he was seemingly giving up…that seemed like another case of a cop deciding that because of the power of his badge that he could blow away anybody he felt like it because the courts can’t touch them because they are police. That’s something that gets on my fucking nerves because this happens quite often.
In Wisconsin there was this bill that was passed by law that demands an official review board outside of the police department’s jurisdiction whenever deadly force was used. I signed the petition and urged everybody on Facebook to do the same. Also the victim wasn’t a black guy, but a white guy and his murder was straight up unneccessary. His pops wrote the story here.
But this goes back to the issue at hand of many cops believing that they are a better breed and that they can kill somebody if they don’t like you, and because of the backing of the shield I won’t get caught. That is the problem of the police state. The belief that they are above the law and can’t be touched. Plus the response from many far right websites after the explosion really upset me.
They used the opportunity to bolster any other reason why this shooting could have occurred but then when the topic of race being a possible reason they would poison the well by arguing via probability or making it seem as if you were playing the race card by considering an idea. Then when they waited for the facts they were often taking what Ferguson said as fact, and presenting Wilson’s response was an excuse arrest over the robbery, and focusing exclusively on the looters when it came to the riots and not being the least bit suspicious of the police response to the harrassment to the Press and all of the peaceful demonstrators. It was just as much agenda driven too.
BUt I won’t sit here and lie. Of course I thought Race had something to do with this. Alot of it was that fact that I felt I had been wrong by the cops in the past for racially motivated shit. I remember being pulled over not because of any suspended plates but because I made a wide right turn coming out of a parking lot. Then the cop was asking me all types of shit and harrassing me about where I was going who and where I was and being disrespectful in my opinion. That was a fucking suspect stop. Oh yeah and there was another time when I stopped because I didn’t put on my turn signal. Or when my tail light was out, but it really wasn’t out. Again asking me all types of questions about where I was coming from and talking down to me like I was under arrest “PUT THE HANDS ON THE FUCKING WHEEL!”
This issue shows that Racism is alive in well here in this country and I’m not talking “White oppression.” I’m talking in general. You don’t know how much I get offended when I hear people criticize a black person for dating somebody outside of their race or when they call every white person a “honkey” or call Mexican’s a “spick,” then they are the first person to complain when they are called a nigger. I hear this often and they try to justify it by saying some asinine shit like “well I’m not really racist because we have no power in this country.” Get the fuck out of here! Racism is racism, and it don’t matter if you black, if you call a white person a cracker or a Mexican a wetback then you’re an asshole. Too many black people in my city use past and current racism as an excuse to justify their own disgusting Donald Sterling racism but that shit goes unchecked and the people won’t speak up in conversation. Sure they will say something once the asshole is gone, but then make an excuse for their hate. Fuck that shit. Far too often I’ve heard these small minded assholes start speaking shit about how this murder showed how those “white folks really feel about us,” but they just straight ignoring that many of those white people are out there in Ferguson demanding answers from the cops and getting gassed by the police. Are they really this blind?
Do they really think they just don’t count?
That’s the reality of racism too, when you have motherfuckers who are so intolerant that they don’t even acknowledge the people who are down for their own cause. Shit is depressing on all sides.
