last few shots could have been nerves or adrenaline. I ain’t about to fault a dude who fired 10 shots into a guy (or whatever), about firing 3 more. It’s not like he was dead, and the cops were just taking random shots at him. They dropped him, he rolled closer, started moving again, and got shot again.
dude had a knife, and was acting fucked right up even BEFORE the cops showed up, and proceeded to start inching towards the cops. He looked like an animal getting ready to attack, just waiting for an opening, and moving around, feeling things out.
Cops have guns pointed at you, you have a weapon, they ask you to put it down, you refuse, and start moving towards them, sorry, but I give zero fucks about what happens after that. All he had to do as drop the weapon, and he could have argued whatever he wants.

Why do some of you failed cumstains seem to expect police to be military level snipers who can shoot the dick off a fly from 100 yards? When a cop shoots an unarmed civilian, I’m willing to question it (my anger with the killing in Ferguson wasn’t about race, it was about the militarization of the police). But when you got a weapon, and cops tell you to fuck off with the weapon, and you don’t wanna listen, YOU KNOW THE POSSIBLE OUTCOME!!!

I stated why I feel the killing was ok. You have a weapon: YES COPS CAN UNLOAD ON YOU WHEN YOU COME AT THEM. They fucking warned him. Warning #1 was the drawn gun. Warning #2 was constantly stating to put down the weapon. And you want them to just be able to shoot out a body part, WHICH WOULD ESCALATE THE SITUATION EVEN WORSE IF THEY MISSED.

I think it’s pretty telling that SRK GD, which typically is shown to HATE police, aren’t flipping their shit over knife guy getting shot. Maybe the police were ACTUALLY IN THE RIGHT to shoot an armed man in close proximity that was already exhibiting aggressive and erratic behavior.
Grown ups understand basic grammar and that police are sometimes forced to make difficult decisions.

LOL, why are you yelling? Its not like i agreed that he couldve or shouldve attempted to shoot him in the leg. People just over state shooting a lot. Its not like the guy with the knife was shuffling left to right constantly, doing ducks and spins. He was walking at the officers at a normal walking speed, and if i gave you a moving target, moving how he was, and even had the moving target stop for a few seconds (Yes, he stopped walking when he said “shoot me now motherfucker”), i assure you, you would be able to hit that target in the legs fairly often.
I’m not arguing that its even pratical to do in the field in situations like this, and 9 out of 10 times it will always be impratical to bother to attempt, because on top of the obvious, officers dont spend all day at the firing range anyways, and im sure many just do the mandatory class when they have to, then its just whenever they feel like sharpening up after that, but even still, people severely over state shooting accuracy on this forum, as if people can dodge a bullet that will have hit you before you even heard the shot go off.
Give me a 9, and you can pace infront of me slowly (or moderate speed) moving to the right and left, eventually stopping for a few seconds before walking again, and i assure you, i will light your whole entire lower half up with bullets. I might miss a few, but i assure you, i’ll get at least 3 in ya ass fo sho. “Militarization of the cops,” I don’t have problems when police protect themselves from rioters especially when the riot itself is in the wrong. If there is a riot with a cause I can support, I’d sympathize with the rioters but still understand the cops protecting themselves.
As for police aggression, videos hold little weight to me when they are taken outside of context. Videos are easily manipulated to demonize, villify, or glorify a group of people in frame. There is so much misreporting and bullshit spewing out of twitter and such. The police are taken a lot of verbal abuse, being ignored or otherwised provoked by exaggerators looking to make themselves famous on the internet. So when a video pops up with a cop saying “i’ll kill you”, is it wrong? Yes of course, but I understand where the response comes from and I understand there are days of unfilmed context that lead up to that moment. There is a failure to realize the police are people too put in a difficult situation that is delicate

Cops aren’t protecting themselves. When somebody hucks a bottle of Dasani at police, it doesn’t give them the right to wildly fire tear gas into a crowd (or at least, it shouldn’t in a just society ruled by something other than parties defined by either corruption or stupidity). They’re lashing out because the masses aren’t falling into lines just because they have bigger guns because they’ve been militarized. And I love how you’re trying to say that videos are being taken out of context when there are live feeds from multiple media outlets that show the cops bullying media and indiscriminately gassing crowds.
