Quick question. How are you accommodating for the different panel thicknesses for a HAPP vs. Japanese joystick?
As far as I know, Sanwa JLFs and Seimitsu ls-32-01 need about 10mm of top panel each (above the screws), while HAPP parts need about 19mm (3/4 inch).
Well on the Happ sticks they have those 3 grooves where the c clip holds it together. The top one is for mounting to metal the bottom 2 are for different wood thicknesses. I cut mine to the middle and if feels pretty good so far although it may be technically high. The Sanwa and Siemitsu sticks are meant to be mounted to metal so they should sit ok but if they’re still high I’ll add little spacers or washers to to get it to sit at the right height, same with the SS plates. I still have to get my sticks in so I can make little spacer kits to go along with it.
Remember this is still a work in progress so any help advice is welcome

Painting is fun =P
So I was extremely busy this weekend and didn’t have as much time as I would have liked to work on my little project but I did manage to get some painting done. Here are some more pics of my progress.

There where a few mishap’s so I ended up painting some of them 2 or 3 times lol but I think all the kinks or should I say “bugs” have been worked out.
Here’s some shots of the top panel. I think it turned out pretty good.
I plan to paint the bottom or the inside but havent decide if I should paint the top since it’s a perfect fit now and paint could raise it up a bit. What do you guys think?
I’ll make a few tweaks with the next batch and things will go much faster. I’m kind of learning as I go I guess. I will say that they are looking really good and I’m really happy with the outcome so far.
I just got my Korean stick in the mail today and another on the way so I should be able to do the mounting hole patters sometime this week if I’m able to get to the shop before the weekend.
Next weekend I should have them completed and I’ll take plenty of pics for your viewing pleasure.

Thanks Guys! Halvie PM sent, The kinks I was talking about where these little bugs that kept finding there way on to the white paint and also my own clumsiness. Like I said I worked it out but it was driving me crazy the other night.

I’m torn between - VOLTECH Fight Sticks or VOLTECH Arcade Sticks?

VOLTECH Arcade Sticks, imo, if I had to pick from the two.
I’d pick something vaguer though, like VOLTECH Gaming, or VOLTECH VOLTECH VOLTECH.

Voltech… lemme just say your work is simply amazing! just saw the name poll too and while i like Voltech Fight Stick ( or VFS if you will ) and Voltech Arcade Stick ( pretty generic, but you cant go wrong with it. ) May I suggest the name Voltech Beat Stick? Its just different… heh, putting my suggestion out there.
