Hey Gumm or anyone else I need a pic of a V2 front without the battery connector attached or link to one preferably high res aki has great pictures of the back and with battery holder but none without it connected unless I’m dumb and missed it there’s a lot going on under that battery jig. and i dont want to mess up I have an un-assembled kit and pictures always help thanks
glad things worked out in the end.
Depends on type the 3rd wireless pcb is, but in must cases prob yes.
The front is a lot like the back. It still follows the transistor/resistor/diodes grouping. The 2 resistor spots under the ribbon connector are 1k ohm spots.
18650 lithium ion cells are in stock now. They are rated at @ 3000 mha. The original lithium ion cell in the sixaxis are 610 mha. Thats almost 5x more battery life!
Hey Guys…
Just wanted to share my Dual wireless mod 360 VLX…
Wireless for 360,PS3 & PC using the LeoV2 board…
Here are some pics…

I hated the white side panels, so instead of painting it like most stick modders on this thread I opted to use 3M carbon fiber DiNoc, for those not familiar with Carbon Fiber DiNoc it is a custom wrap used in the Auto industry, it mimics the same characteristics of real carbon fiber, reflects light in different angles and also have a slight texture… :wgrin:

As you can I see I hate clutter, I hate the sight of wires, that was the main purpose of making this wireless stick…
Can you find where I hid the 360 pcb board

Here’s the 4dpt switch… and the stock USB cable used to charge the 3.7lithium battery, stick can be used in tournaments also just plug in the usb and I’m set to go…

Since this is my stick I removed the xbox logo and used my own company logo(EliteRC - We Know RC.)
To do this just use an X-acto blade and slowly pry up the clear dome button, its stuck on with clear adhesive so not too hard to remove, you’ll then notice that the xbox logo is applied on like a sticker, remove it then print your own logo and you’ll have your own custom Guide/Home button :wgrin:
I also removed the stock green leds and soldered on some red ones to match the theme of the stick…
For now I can only connect either a sixaxis or the 360 player leds, I cannot connect both, reason is that one uses a common anode setup while the other is using common cathode…
Right now I only have the Sixaxis player leds hooked up, i would like to have both, so if anyone have the answer, please feel to PM or email me… Please help me out as I am a bit frustrated in trying to solve this problem…
I would like to thank Gummowned for helping solve some riddles, and for coming out with the Leo board… you’re the man bro :china:

Wow. On the one hand, I"m sure some would see it sacrilegious to mod a VLX like that. On the other hand, that is one of the cleanest mods I’ve seen, regardless of stick. It really looks like it came fresh out the factory like that. Much props for that.
And nice site. I have a Savage I’m considering converting to electric…
Just out of curiosity, for the ribbon cable you used (8 grey 1 pink wire) did your rip that out of a SE, or did you buy that? because ive been looking for some but cant find any
No. That ribbon cable was an old IDE cable I had from a computer I salvaged long time ago. 28 gauge wire, works quite well for this application, and relatively cheap too.
obviously you didnt buy yours, but do you know where i could go about buying some of this?
Give Radio Shack a try. Anywhere they sell or service computers may also have IDE cables.
So…why do pictures of dual wireless setup show a USB cable? And why is VCC from that USB cable wired to the switch? Wouldn’t a switch with 6 pins be enough?
Another question, if i was to dual wireless mod with this, could I also wire a MC Cthulhu to the remaining spot? It would have it’s own USB cable and work just for the PC and possibly PS2/GC. Possible?
USB needed to charge (ps3) or sync (360). All the VCCs are chained together.
The triple mod you are looking for is on the first page.
See, this is where it confuses me, because in wired dual mod, both boards were powered at the same time.
So I can’t just change batteries on a sixasis (sorry, but I never owned PS3)? But that kind of defeates the purpose of having no cables in the first place. Wait, could I wire all 3 (sixasis, 360 and cthulhu) to the same rj45?
Also, how do you know if your official 360 pad is common ground? Are they all?
Thanks for answers :]
edit
The triple setup tutorial on the first page only shows wired 360 board option. I’m getting a bit confused here…
PS3 controllers have a Li-ION battery built into the controller. The controller has to be disassembled to change the battery. It is more convenient to recharge the battery with USB.
As for the power question, I am unsure of when you triple mod.
In a dual wireless setup the usb cable is used to recharge the lithium ion battery and to sync to the 360 and ps3. The VCC from the usb cable is not wired to the switch, the VCC from the battery is.
Yes you could also wire a MC Cthulhu to the remaining spot. It would be ideal to make it use its own usb cord or rj45 jack for multi system.
This is what makes dual wireless mods very difficult. Having both boards powered at the same time is a bad thing because it will drain the battery more and cause the stick to turn on both systems if they are nearby (a disaster in a tournament setting). So we must break the golden rule of powering all the boards at the same time. That’s what the diodes on the board are for, to prevent each controller board’s button signals from interfering with the other boards.
Wouldn’t need to change the battery since it can be recharged through usb. No you can not wire all 3 to the same rj45.
Only the late model wireless MS 360 pads are common ground. Not 100% sure on this, but I think all the black and red ones are common ground.
Thank you :]
Hey Matt quick question on the image below of my 360 wireless pad one of the trigger switches broke off the board I know the leo inverts the trigger’s but does the trigger have to be present
you want to remove the pots.
Pots thas what you call those things sweet thanks
Potentiometer.
Triple mod? Good deal
