Good to know the XBox will sync thru the USB. Since we have to tap the USB line on the PCB, I guess it makes sense, since teh PnC cable does the same thing, right? Besides housing the charging chip, there’s nothing else the cable does any diffrernt than the USB cord in this instance, or am I off base again (wouldn’t be the first or last time…)
Dunno about the rest of you guys, but i find syncing 360 through usb blows donkey balls… sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt… other times it causes the controller to turn off as soon as i plug in…
i’m removing 360 usb from masterstrike and i’m gonna hook up the sync button instead
I think I screwed up my dual mod… I bought an X360 TE several months ago into which I dropped a sixaxis pcb + axisdapter since I only have a PS3. Recently I’ve decided to finish out the dual mod so I ordered the Imp but I’m now realizing that if I hook up the original madcatz x360 PCB into the buttons & directions it will join the grounds and cause my sixaxis to stop working, or at least that’s what I think will happen.
So I’m interested in this board if it will make my life easier / fix my dual mod.
I should add, I don’t really care about having wireless functionality for X360, since I will only use that sparingly, it’s fine if I have to jack in.
Depending on how this new board is set up, I’m tempted to throw my current leo in my brother’s Capcom Power Stick and put the new board in the VAS-HG (which is taking a while to get started on anyway…) What did you have planned for the new version?
design is finished just need to double check the traces and then I’ll have the pcbs made.
-better mounting option
-extra set of holes for 3rd controller to be wired up
-easier trigger wiring
-some screw terminals
-more gnd locations
-optional battery mounting?
I see. Makes that triple wireless setup much easier. More options for 360 boards as well with the trigger hack bit. Which lines will the screw terminals be used on?
the screw terminals are to wire the sticks buttons to the board w/o soldering. So from the get go you can pretty much hook up a sixaxis to the leo and the sticks buttons/joystick without needing an iron.
Maybe in the 3rd version. Any way you could mass program the QFP version of the atmega chip?
I’m just about finished up my nOOb worklog for my wireless dual mod stick. Hope to post up in the next day or two. Hope it helps someone else take the plunge.
