I was just searching for windows driver for this joystick and came across this thread.
Would you mind uploading the windows driver for the fighting stick?
I just bought this in hong kong, and it didn’t come with the cd.
I would be going back to san francisco tomorrow, but have no time to go back and ask for the cd.
Thank you !
P.S. just want to let you guys know that this joystick is selling for about 170 HKD = 31 AUD = 22 USD in Hong Kong.
So if you were to spend close to 90 AUD, then why not spend it on an authentic Hori stick.
I’ve written a small guide on how to mod the KUNFGU stick. It’s translated from swedish to english through Google though so the result is kinda hilarious but at least you’ll understand something. If not, at least the pictures might be helpful.
Notes:
In my guide I used a Seimitsu LS-32-01 which fits right in. For a Sanwa JLF however, the original shaft is too long so you’ll have to use the shaft from the KUNGFU joystick and then grind down actuator (number 8 in the picture below) a bit so that it fits. Compare the two shafts and you’ll see how much you need to remove. http://pici.se/thumbs/t_pQhbicmTe.gif
The PCB did not use common ground, instead it used +3.3/5v as common (which I’ve never seen before) so you can’t use it for a dual mod. I don’t know if this applies to the Pro Fighting Stick as well as I don’t own one.
Looking at the user comments on Youtube vids customers are happy, but this maybe happiness from not using a pad anymore. Play Asia wont tell me if there are Sanwa parts in the stick or what actual parts are used.
It’s $88 CAD locally so it’s not a heck of a deal if it’s hard to mod. In contrast, a Madcatz SE would be a better deal for a few bucks more, though finding stock in my area may be an issue.
I already have a HRAP EX, but I’d like another stick for when a guest comes over, or something to keep on my desk for MAME so I don’t have to tug the damn thing around the house. I might be able to pick this up in Chinatown around here much cheaper. I’ll take a look. If I do get it, I’ll be sure to post pics of the inside.
Hey, i just bought this thing for 75 dollars cdn tax in and i gotta tell ya…its not bad at all. The stick isnt too bad…took it for a crash course in Challenge trials then took it online and its got pretty good accuracy wen u excecutn moves. The buttons are very sensative to the touch in that u can very lightly flick the edges of them and they’ll respond. I opened this thing up afterwards to see how modable it is and this thing is crazy easy, buttons r snap-ons. Gonna swap out the electronics(pcb) and use it in my custm design box, gonna add a Sanwa jlt and some buttons as well. over all…in my opinion…this thing works very well out of the box.
Also what kind of gate is it. Square, circle or octo. I am also interested in finding out if the buttons are quick disconnect or soldered. Mine is on it way and shipped yesterday.
I have the stick for the X-box360 and it works great so far. I would also like to know if it can be modded. I only have one problem with the stick it is kind of light I have to set it on the table and it works better. The button are responsive and the stick does it job.
