I’d give props to BC. First of all, they’ve got Tao, second, they’ve got Navid. 'nuff said. there are some damn good 3S players there, and ATMSpidertao could take on Preppy easy in MVC2. That’s saying something.

Tao and I had exactly one tourney match, in Canada on the worst Marvel machine in North America (Jay Zee’s also had the crappiest CvS2 machine in the country, so they do excel) and it was 2-1 him … pretty close overall. He’s probably definitely better than me since he has much more experience and knows the game much better. I think he fucks around a lot, though. But both he and Kyle (SpiderString) are pretty solid and did OK, I think getting top 9, in the only LanWerx tourney they went to. Tao did pretty damned well against Empire at some Toronto(?) 5 on 5, if I recall correctly. I think most every top player in Seattle would scrape him, though - all the top players in Seattle really are better than just about everybody else in the world.
I think what these rap stars are trying to say is:

Try not to take it the wrong way, but you guys have made sort of a crappy impression on some of us so far. Some silly posts, and fairly odd behavior at Zach’s have people a little confused/miffed. I understand it is probably awkward to come hang out with a bunch of people that are already friends when you don’t know anyone; but then why would you put yourselves in that situation to begin with? Especially If you are just gonna hide downstairs and play 3rd Strike with yourselves. If that is what you are coming over for, might as well just stay at home and play. That way we can get some more marvel or some madden going on with the TV you’ve had commandeered for the 3s all night.
Hopefully your 3rd Strike tournament will be a success, but you might need to: a) take the initiative to get it going and b) stop fronting about being in the know about 3rd Strike. You have to realize that you are preaching to people that have played the game at a local, national, and international level. Some who have been playing for a lot of years.

I left the first Silver Coin tournament I ever went to not knowing who any of you all were. Typically it’s at least the second time I go somewhere before I start getting comfortable or really feeling like I know anybody.
There is a high amount of crazy here so far, but I just think that’s normal for Third Strike players. :tup:

You know I’m honestly sorry if I have insulted some of you but those “rap stars”? I will not apologize to. I will take some initiative this time around for the tourney if people actually show up. I would like to see what kind of level the seattle players play at, because so far I’ve only played about 5 people who actually showed up one time. If you wanna play Madden then tell us! We’ll let you play if there’s not much going on. Please people some of you guys tell me how good you are but never show up! So show up and I’ll give you the props you deserve! If not all I see is a name in a forum that I can’t make any founded decisions on.

My main problem is, you guys came in acting like you’re on top of the world…and were really not trying to let some ppl play when they asked to get in on the rotation…you pretty much shot yourself in the foot with that one…so if you really want us to go and play in this 3s tournament, you should try to mend those bridges that you burned, and stop being proud at the fact that you call yourself top teir scrubs…cause it doesn’t matter what teir you play. Seattle players say that the top players are awesome and I would love to see that but all I see is PDX and BC players showing up AFAIK Seattle is pretty dead for 3s due to the lack of arcades carrying it, I only fear the PDX and BC because like I said even if people say they can totally destroy me no one shows up or really competes in tourneys, alot of top players in BC consider seattle to be really dead and the top players moved on to other things, seriously how long has it been since you guys have held a tourney?
I’m a scrub like you said and I proudly admit it I play by myself 90% of the time and once in a while I go to BC to play people there, so if you feel proud beating up on me then due so please. in my opinion there isn’t a tourney level player…cause all they do is enter tournaments, scrubs and pros alike…and the reason why i’m gettin upset about you callin yourself is a scrub is because a scrub is someone that doesn’t learn from their mistakes…nor makes the attempt to try and get better at said game…you clearly aren’t that since you’ve been tryin to play other people. And like the homie fresh says i’m all about having new ppl into the scene…things just got off on the wrong foot.
