PRE-COOPERATION CUP and COOPERATION CUP 2016. Tokyo, Japan. January 9-10

I wanted to, but last year was a nightmare for me. Buying like 20+ shirts and shit and having to send them all out which took a long ass time.

I even blew it and like 2 people didn’t get their pamphlets. I guess I need an accounting for dummies book.

That’s a shame but I totally understand.

So hype to see Deshiken and INO back.

Deshiken was actually at Newton last year during like August/September. He did a series of FT10s against Konitan, Atsushi, Mimora, Kokujin, and KO.

For a guy who barely even plays anymore, he’s never lost it.

1 hour to go! They were testing stream earlier: http://www.twitch.tv/gamenewton

So how do you get around the japanese-only restriction on the twitch chat?

lol there’s a five Twelves team, I gotta see that in action!

JUST START THE MATCHES ALREADY DAMMIT.

RX IS BACK!!!

well it’s too late now but i got it to work by clicking on the Japanese text on the lower half of that pop up.

Hayao is sick

this is third strike y’all.

lol at his little dance

Yeah it was great to see all the old school players doing work. Deshiken, hayao, RX, namijin, and haitani all looked awesome!

Powered by RKF looking strong! That team they beat was no joke! Sick denjin play to get things going.

The K.O curse is now broken, and what a storytelling for his team! On the verge of an early elimination, climbing up the deadly playoff bracket, the multiple heatbreaking tiebreakers, the hard earned wins in the top 8 and the triumphant final OCV.
I’m really glad he won, he is a 3rd strike legend and was deserving to finally grabbing the win. Great team of legendary players overall, but for the unlucky Kenzo it had even more of a special meaning.

Mad props to Yuuki for taking second place with some impressive games

You summed it up well. Everyone in that team did something to save the KO family.

That OCV, damn. Didn’t know who K.O. was previously, now I’m not surprised at all that the Yun player from earlier got wrecked so badly. Man plays so sharp.

RB and that ibuki player the real MVPs for KO family, saved their hide not once but twice! =) All kidding aside this was probably the best 3s tournament I ever saw both in presentation and the quality of the gameplay. Lets hope we get a treat like this next year too!

Congrats to K.O family!

Man, CoopCup is just the greatest tournament out there. From the production (amazing intros/credits) to the energy and of course the ridiculous level of play. No made up drama, no overblown prize pools, no fake hype…just a ton of amazing players enjoying the game. Nothing comes close to CoopCup in terms of raw energy and enthusiasm.

Deshiken is still one of my favorite players to watch. Same with Genki and RX.
