im controlling the space in front with fireball. He cant pass through it unless he does ultra or buttslam. Buttslam is not an option tho since i am only doing fb from far, trying to bait him. plus he knows im sniffing out for certain things, one being the head butt. If i see it coming, i jump back and get free damage plus now im inside. If i block headbutt, no biggie, he gained nothing while im just a little bit closer to him.

I don’t like to ex dp the floating fierce. For one, it takes a stock, for next to no damage. while you are right that I will get the knockdown, the problem now is, if the positioning is weird and only the first dp hits(which can be common) and the 2nd dp wiffs, he gets to tech and gain position on me. I would need to anticipate the float fierce more so i can do it earlier so only the 2nd dp will connect. Honestly, its not worth it. I rather inch my way forward, and do a walkup c.fierce on the float fierce, it wins clean. Now im in strinking range. Honda is hella weak to crossup j.short. You can use it very safely. If you are in close and honda starts harrassing you with buttslams, AA it with c.fierce, it wins clean as well. thats just a couple of things i look out for

I agree with everything here, but I never said use ex dp, you can use normal dp, specifically lp, and win out every time. Well at least I have had far more success than with crouch HP, as you have to really wedge yourself in there to avoid the floatback HP. Also you can do it from further out at ranges where you cannot get in and crouch hp. I almost never mean use ex dp as an anti air, mostly for the reasons you mentioned.

i never really tried to use jab dp. its usually a rule of thumb that sakura dp’s are never to be used for anything other than combos, so maybe i need to retrain myself in that area. ill have to try it out. all i know, is right now, c.fierce works well for me. Ill check it out. thanks

Jab DP to Strong DP is technically a combo.

Yeah I felt the same way but really started trying to find other options rather then complain when facing rufus of all people (We all know how much I love to complain on forums). Nowadays I don’t use it much at all against rufus’s jumps, but still was quite surprised by its decent priority. Its not great in most situations, but the fact that its hits in an area people generally aren’t expecting when facing sak helps shut down their options a bit.

Her neutral jump HK is so awesome against sagat. Nice hit confirm from cr.lk to HK tatsu. I really need to work on my hit confirms. Awesome matches.

fixed that for me… lol, just yesterday I stuffed Viper’s ultra with a neutral j.hk… and it came after a couple ex tatsu combos, so after the huge dust cloud from her start-up cleared, she was dizzy too. :lol:

really nice dude… i wish i could vs you… couple of questions though… why do you focus vegas barcelona attacks instead of c.HP? it works everytime… the only one it doesnt work on is his super, in which j.lk beats it. also, after that last focus attack on the sakura match, whyd you lk tatsu, when hk tatsu woulda finished him off then and there?
