I pretty much agree… I guess I should say that Honda “could be better” at blocking. He failed to high block a neutral j.hk when there was really no reason not to, and Sakura started the match-winning combo because Honda come out of the reset not blocking low, which is his fault regardless of whether he got crossed-up or not.
reelsmartkid is pretty good for a 12 year old
I think I have a match uploaded because I just got 10 random friend requests. If I do it’ll be under Sir Destin III, probably high enough or new enough that people saw it? I don’t really understand the system. The match itself was probably lame though.
These matches should be posted as a response to the “is Sakura a viable character?” thread.
Really nice fights.
maybe so but your still the best sakura ive seen. ill have to try and take u on some day

this is free1up
he’s a pretty good bison player and rarely gets beaten (well…in his videos anyways)
and i wasn’t expecting him to lose - yet alone to a sakura player!
its apparently Jibbo from this forum
That match was pretty helpful to me in regards of how to deal with Bison’s Devil Reverse. I always stayed my distance when dealing with them and now I’ll try FAing them a bit now, although, I did already know about throwing out ultra to counter it.
On my end I put up a some matches during my playing time yesterday so I could study what I did right myself (trust me, I did quite a lot of things wrong throughout the course of the day, so I know my overall game still needs polish). Maybe someone could get something out of them as well.

I also have a few others up already and a few still uploading, so if anyone wants to check those out as well, I’ll leave my channel to you guys.
De
entertaining match but damn, the english voices suck ass.
nice matches De
Nice matches. One comment unrelated to the gameplay… is it just me or is the sound only coming out of one channel in these videos?
got some vids of my sakura from a ranbat last night. Unfortunately, i got 2nd. Good news is tho, in every tournament, she has been first or second, nothing worse. So theres hope for you sakura players losing hope.
Grand finals part 1:

The last match of the video is the first match of the 2nd set(which is the next video posted below). I was sent to losers by danimitsu when we met in the winners finals. He was up 2-0 with sagat, then i comeback and tie it 2-2. Then he gets a lucky ultra in between my poking(he was a couple pixels away from death) and i lost.
Grand Finals Part 2:

BElieve me, i already know what I need to do to peace that sagat out. I just didn’t think about it soon enough. I’ll get him next time.

All vs losing matchups. But it’s still hella possible to win! Don’t lose faith
Good shit Sabre!
Out of interest, which match-up do you find the hardest to play with Sak? Zangief?
Zack, what is your recording set up if you don’t mind me asking?
I still think sak fights gief well. Either that or i just know the matchup way too well(probably the latter heh).
My hardest matchups with sak, from personal exp is definitly seth, sagat, and boxer so far. I have to work some serious magic to get by on those matchups. Akuma can be tough as well if he runs away. plus you cant run your shenanigans on him since the teleport is too good.

me vs ryu =)
oh and i use a slingbox pro HD
edit: oh yeah by the way, nice games sabre!
Thems big words. Care to share? I know more then a few of us are still having Russian problems.
Wow, that was a quick EX Shouoken after your Jump-in to end Second Round.
What is the best punish to headbutt on block (non ex, non lp)? There seemed to be some fear on his side from doing headbutts, I haven’t really messed around with much myself. What I did notice is that if the honda doesn’t jump forwards over your fireballs much (lp version at least), and instead tries that n.jump fierce fall, you can shouken him (double) from a decent range out. Not much damage but it does give you knockdown, meter, and screen positioning. I have only seen the honda vid so far.
im controlling the space in front with fireball. He cant pass through it unless he does ultra or buttslam. Buttslam is not an option tho since i am only doing fb from far, trying to bait him. plus he knows im sniffing out for certain things, one being the head butt. If i see it coming, i jump back and get free damage plus now im inside. If i block headbutt, no biggie, he gained nothing while im just a little bit closer to him.
I don’t like to ex dp the floating fierce. For one, it takes a stock, for next to no damage. while you are right that I will get the knockdown, the problem now is, if the positioning is weird and only the first dp hits(which can be common) and the 2nd dp wiffs, he gets to tech and gain position on me. I would need to anticipate the float fierce more so i can do it earlier so only the 2nd dp will connect. Honestly, its not worth it. I rather inch my way forward, and do a walkup c.fierce on the float fierce, it wins clean. Now im in strinking range. Honda is hella weak to crossup j.short. You can use it very safely. If you are in close and honda starts harrassing you with buttslams, AA it with c.fierce, it wins clean as well. thats just a couple of things i look out for
maeda: be careful using c.fierce as AA. empty jump gief >>>>>>>>>> c/fierce AA. You need a good footsie game to win. Use lots of s.rh, c.forward into dp, and c.rh. Gief’s s.strong pretty much beats out everything that sak has except for c.rh at max range. Gief needs to use s.forward to beat sweep, thats when you switch up and do c.forward into fierce dp. Learn specific timing and ranges on how to jump in and beat lariat with j.rh and j.fierce. It is possible to beat lariat with these 2 moves, but it all depends on the spacing and timing. It’s a gamble for sure. avoid using forward and rh HK’s since gief gets grabs for free, on block. Even if you combo into the rh HK, if the 3rd hit wiffs, say hello to a 720. Avoid those 2 moves at all costs vs him.
You have to play very smart. and playing gief will force you to be a lot more creative and trickier with sak’s ex hk shenanigan setups. Gief still wins the matchups, but its totally winnable
hey, are you victor, the guy who presents the dogface show?
if so…i really like your interviews!
