wuhoo! jmoney’s podcast! i m looking forward to it!
Nice Podcast Jmoney!
I have enjoyed listening to all the podcasts so far. Good job, and keep up the good work, Osirun with the podcast/interviews!
Thanks; will do!
Cool podcast, Kelvin.
Osirun puttin’ in hard work! Doing great, man.
Good shit guys.
I kinda think i rambled a bit in the podcast and there was some undue awkward silence… Ill work somthing out with you Nathan and we’ll do another one! hope to get the T-attack MM in soon! we’ll podcast about the results maybe?
Sounds good Kelvin. Believe me, too, when I say that few people like how they sound. I’ve gotten used to my nonfluencies and pauses, lol.
Tetris Attack MM is in the future for sure
Hey Nate, check your email, I requested changes to my Roundup page.
I think if you guys did a player interview of Elvenshadow or Heartnana, it would be pretty interesting to listen to.
I’m afraid I’m not familiar with their names. What games do they play?
Elvenshadow plays Guilty Gear and Heartnana plays Blazblue. Elvenshadow is one of the best Midwestern GG players. Heartnana is an accomplished Soul Calibur player. He plays BB now and recently qualified for and competed at SBO, for BB. Both of them are from Chicago but currently live in Japan. I’m sure they have a lot interesting things to say, regarding to their time spent in the Midwest scene, and also about their experiences in the Japanese arcade scene. If you read their blogs, you can get an idea about who they are and what they’re doing:

I think they would be interesting players to interview, although now that I think about it, it might be difficult to coordinate those interviews, considering their timezone difference to ours.
my new dream is to be interviewed on that show haha.
If I can get a hold of them here on SRK, then I’ll definitely see if they’re interested and if a decent time could be worked out.
Will they be returning to the States in the near future? If so, perhaps a more reasonable scheduling could be worked out around that time.
I do interviews with all players, as long as you’re willing to give an hour and have a good discussion. Are your new to the fighting game scene, or is your recent join date just a product of browsing around before taking the plunge
Midwest Roundup profiles people! They trickle in every few weeks, but I’d really like to see more. Especially from people who’ve posted in this thread and have yet to send me their info! Just go right here and copy/paste the form into an email. It only takes a few minutes, and afterward you’ll feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
You’ll have to ask them about that. I have no idea because I don’t know those guys at all.
i’m new to fighting games, i used to be a big FPS player. Number one team in the world in KZ2…
looking back, those games are so laughingly easy to get good at compared to fighting games. i play fighters because of the depth and community.
i don’t deserve to be interviewed until i do good in some tournies, i’ll get back to you if that happens. first one is Aerial Rave lol.
Podcasts #17 and #18 are released. Go listen to The Real KT and Tecdatshit on the SoEazy mixtape, and NappyJin’s introductory podcast of greatness!
That Ghaleon tourney one was a good one. I new exactly what tourney he was talkin about. Need to MM more, I quit doing that.
FPS- IMO, I think both genres are equally deep in their own rights. Your reaction and coordination skills from high level FPS will transfer to fighters.
Trust me, fighting games are at least five times deeper than shooting games. It took me about 3 months to become one of the best players in the world. I never did anything like look up help online or do anything but play public matches against noobs. This could be because of lack of depth in the field relative to fighting games, but one of the main reasons I quit was that at my level, almost every kill was an instant headshot. The second anyone saw anyone, someone’s head was gone. it had reached its competitive pinnacle.
been playing this game for about 3 months and im still average.
edit: when i say “look up help online,” i mean go to something like SRK and read up on matchups, or ever need to watch videos. just point and shoot.
IMMORTAL, I wonder if anyone else gets that 7 and a switch blade reference but me.
Its all about the Animal Dance.
ANyway, I want in on all things fighting games. IF there are some local gatherings/tournies or online thing happening I’d like in.
Of course I realize most things get posted but I just wanted to thrown myself in the ring.
