Why aren’t we playing 3s on cab?
Also mega-hype for this being on the Evo Circuit!
Depending on entrants the showcase cab could take too long. We’d also need another 3s board if we were to do split sit down cabs or something.
We can, I just didn’t want to assume the entire 3S 2v2 would run on the only cab we have for it.
This is actually a problem I foresee for ST. I’m not sure offhand how many ST boards Jesse has (or can get), and how many applicable cabs we’ll have with ST in them.
First post in awhile, had a random question: What are the odds we could have a CvS2 side tourney? $5 or $10 entry fee, probably would get 10-15 people max, but if you guys already have the arcade machine, why not give it a go?

Anyone is welcome to run any additional tournament that they want to. As long as we have space, that is no problem. Just like you have done, popoblo, all that is needed is to ask us if you can do it.
We can keep the bracket on our tournament software, but you’ll have to run the tournament yourself. We’ll also hold the entrance fee money for you and abide by whatever payout structure you want, as long as all the money is going back to the players.
If for any reason you cannot finish your tournament, we’ll refund the players who paid. We might also have to put your bracket on hold if we need the player(s) for official tournament games.
So yeah, see if you can get some hype for CvS2!
I’ll play CVS2, I’ve been wanting to learn and play some good comp for quite awhile.
We’ll be going with this ruleset from the SRK Low-Tier League for MvC2. I found this ruleset in the Naptown Clutch thread, and the individual post was made by BeaTs*:

I love the payout distribution ideas. It’s getting crazy to see these 500 man tournaments with three people getting paid.
Regarding the low tier marvel, you should consider adding Captain Commando and Psylocke to the banned assists.
And finally, the shirt proofs seem to have been taken down, but regardless I vote for a large logo and black or purple shirts. Assuming the case isn’t already closed.
The case for the type of logo is closed. But the colors of the shirts are still up for choices. I’m hoping to give people many choices for shirt pre-orders. Purple seems to be a popular choice among those I’ve asked.
I saw some reasoning from this fellow named BeaTs in the Naptown Clutch thread saying that Capcom and Psylocke AAs are the best for the top tier characters, but in low tier their assists aren’t as abusable. You know I don’t know much about MvC2, especially low-tier, so let me know why you think those assists should be banned and I’ll consider it. I do prefer to leave as much unbanned as possible, though.
I do disagree, but BeaTs is a much better player than me so I would just trust him. Plus you’re right it would be simpler that way.
