Oh wow, I actually tried it when I first figured out the raw tag tech. Great that you can if you ADD with a normal. Works similar to MODOK and those others. Go Ironman!

So what’s considered the top 3 best Nova teams? IMO it would be Nova/Doom/Strider, Nova/Doom/Ammy & Nemo. Honorable mentions to Nova/Dante/Strider and Nova/Doom/Vergil. With that being said I’ve noticed moons is playing Nova/MODOK/Ammy and I’m really interested to see how he does at winterbrawl if he plays it through.

Hard for me to pick a top 3, but those are all really good. I think Nova/Vergil/Doom > Nova/Doom/Vergil, but either way they’re good shells. I still think Nova/Doom/Ammy is the best Nova + two assists model because it just allows him to do whatever he wants and reset the opponent into oblivion. That said, any Nova/Spencer shell also leads to big damage at the expense of a neutral assist. Nova/Strange also doesn’t need him anymore to get the FOF loop, so Nova/Strange/Ammy could be a contender as well.<div>And goddamn I am looking forward to that Moons team for sure. We’ll get to see some aforementioned hard tag tech with Nova/MODOK.</div>

then is it possible for sentinel?

Nova/Strange(eye)/Drones? Could work.

<font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>Soo…yeah I am determined to learn Nova with Task diagonal arrows and Iron Man unibeam. Ran some casuals with my friends today and my Iron man is ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS but playing with Nova Task and that Unibeam…it felt so amazing =)))…I think we’re sleeping on diagonal arrows for Nova. I think that assist has potential to be interchangeable with the horizontal ones depending on the match up the way people who use Doom assist (F. Champ) switch between his assists. </span></font>

YES!! Do it! Nova with Eye also allows Nova to link two supers and you can’t go wrong with Drones.

Weird, after Marv and I talked about the hard tag tech with Iron Man, I started messing around with Nova/Cap/Tony. I actually really like it even though Iron Man is such booty.

I really want to pick up Nova and spencer, but I dont know who to place for the beam/fullscreen assist for the 3rd spot. there are obvious choices like Doom, Strange, Hawkeye, Taskmaster, etc…But I dont know which one to pick.

It’s only one character slot, try them all out and see what fits. They’re all pretty good, Doom and Strange are OP because the crumple combo leads to death in basically any situation, but Hawkeye and Taskmaster are good too. Greyhound is arguably better for Spencer than Nova, while Aim Master is arguably better for Nova than Spencer. Avoid Magneto since his beam is too fast and short for Nova to do much of anything.

You could also try out akuma(and I guess frank west, but that brings up some other issues). Nova/akuma is really solid while spencer/akuma is tried and true. Another contender of course is sentinel, considering nova/spencer/sent got second place at evo, I’d say the team is relatively solid. Other than magneto, I don’t really see you going wrong, whoever you pick, although I’m not a fan of anchor taskmaster.

<font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>so guys, my friend is pretty hell-bent on running nova/hulk, but he uses the anti-air assist and taskmaster on the back lol</span></font><div style=“font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;”><br></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>i was just wondering what you guys thought of that (in terms of what assist would be the best/most beneficial to nova), and what character would be a suitable anchor?</span></font></div>

<font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>That’s honestly not a bad team. Hits hard. He can switch between Nova and Hulk depending on the matchup, and Task arrows is a good assist. He could maybe switch up the Hulk assist but there’s nothing wrong with anti-air.</span></font><div style=“font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;”><br></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>Also, this</span></font><br><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_Wcqq3Kv9A</span></font><br></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”><br></span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>and this</span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JedIgVoDATM</span><br></font></div>

I’m trying to learn Vergil and am going to put him with Strange and Nova. What would be the best order for them and what kind of synergy do Nova and Vergil have? And explain the forced ground bounce thing? Does that apply to point Nova Centurion Arts?

Nova/Vergil/Strange. You don’t have any fast assist that can help Vergil or Nova on point, but I think Nova is better at building enough space to use Bolts at the beginning of the round to help him get in. After you start a combo, you can either do <a href=“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3zpz0kg_wI&feature=share&list=PLkHeSln9LwqwHtoRUGpo_N1SYY_wjaPI_”>Kusoru’s hard tag into FOF loops</a> or just DHC from Gravimetric Blaster into Sword Loops. After that, Vergil can set up spiral sword unblockables with Nova’s assist. The only problem with the team is that when Vergil’s on point he has no incoming mixup assist or anything fast enough to call freely in a neutral situation. But Bolts gets the job done for Nova in terms of a beam, and Rapid Slash’s lockdown is okay.<div><br></div><div>The forced ground bounce is just that: even if you’ve used a ground bounce in your combo, a move like Sky Dance or Cent Rush M will still ground bounce anyway. It works with Nova’s assist or on point.</div>

Yeah. Disco’s right on the money there. However, two things. My choice would probably also be Nova/Vergil/Strange, but Nova/Strange/Vergil it TOTALLY viable. Vergil anchor is…yeah, good. Strange second with Rapid Slash is great because you can constantly push the opponent fullscreen for some really annoying zoning. And Strange is one of the best at protecting assists from beam supers with his rings and pillar hypers. <br><br>In addition, Strange can set up flames loops off a TAC from pretty much all Nova combos, as they corner carry so well. With this as the kill, you still get those Eyes of Avocado on incoming, tag in Nova or Vergil, and do whatever. Here’s a video someone made about it!<br><br>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14JRACuzz7U<br><br>Also, just a tech note, doing Nova’s groundbounce assist during lunar phase will reset the groundbounce, which is cool. <br>

Ok I was wondering if X-23 and Nova were a good enough shell to put
Phoenix in there with them? IMO they both have LOTS of synergy in the
little bit of time playing them I know they have great THC options ,
nice resets, they both benefit from each others assists (nova gets an
otg and x-23 gets a ground bounce), and nice mix ups (feint cancel m +
call centurion rush).<br>Just don’t know what order to put them in…
Was thinking X-23 gets more from Nova because Nova is decent solo even
though Jeans tk overdrive is the perfect “beam” for both of them imo
(just wont be using it alot for obvious reasons). Plus from X-23 I can
go into Novas infinite (wish Laura had one ;( ) Suggestions anyone work
with this pairing before?

…why…are you playing Phoenix…lmfaoo >_>

bolts of balthakk should be good for both x23 and nova

Hey, Jean is fun. I would definitely main her and put her on point if she had Strider health in exchange for DP. Phoenix/Doom/Ammy, get at me.<div><br></div><div>That said, I’m not sold on that team. There’s just not enough damage or reset potential for those two characters together to warrant putting them on a Phoenix team. You also have no neutral assist which Laura and Ricky both need to get in, specifically a beam (I’m sorry, Overdrive wouldn’t be a good assist even if it didn’t put Phoenix at risk). If you’re super godlike with both characters without using a neutral assist, then by all means. But I’d replace one of them with an assist character if you’re going to run Phoenix.</div><div><br></div><div>That said, Nova/X-23/someone else might be alright. They just both need a horizontal assist really badly.</div>
