Nova/Taskmaster/Dante is a really good team as well. I play it from time to time. Very very good. I agree about not needing a lvl 3 xfactor comeback character. Doom isn’t even a great anchor. He’s AIGHT. But if you can have both a very good neutral + a great comeback character then that’s probably the best route. <div><br></div><div>Nova/Ironman/Logtrap is pretty great too. My only argument is Ironman/Akuma not being viable. As long as the team works, then you should be fine with it. But really, in a world of Zeros, Vergils, and Morridooms. Your shit needs to fucking cheap…</div>
i’ve been using nova/frank/arthur or dante for a couple of days now and I do see a bit of a noticeable difference between having those two on the back. Dagger toss is truly great for Nova and even better when Arthur is powered up, but arthur takes a lot of getting used to and hes kind of weird to use lol (nothing that more play-time won’t fix). <div><br></div><div>both combinations of frank/arthur and frank/dante have THC capabilities that can level frank to 4/5, but I guess it really depends on your preference. I’ll probably put more effort into Dante since he benefits Taskmaster SO much.</div><div><br></div><div>also Nova/Task/Doom is really good (shameless plug). I feel like moving on from Sentinel to Doom just upgraded my team like…threefold.</div>

I’d definitely recommend playing Dante then. I play Taskmaster too and Task with Dante is fucking amazing.

Sorry to be harsh, but that sounds terrible. All of those characters are best on point and none of them have stellar assists. Wolverine/Cap can be okay (my friend plays them with Drones) but otherwise I don’t see the synergy.

Yea I understand, but your gonna get veeeeery frustrated eventually when you keep getting bopped by teams with actual assists, my doom will have a field day against a team like that cuz none of those characters are getting in on doom/drones. What happened to the nova/wolverine/akuma team you were considering? You get to keep two of those characters and can run a very good assist in the back. Nova/wolverine(or wolverine/nova) and stick akuma, sentinel, or plasma beam in the back and your set.

The reason Nova/Spencer/Ironman might be decent is because.<div><br></div><div>1. You can raw tag Ironman for very damaging combos after any touch from Nova. Similar to how people raw tag Doom or Strange.</div><div><br></div><div>2. Ironman’s assist is very very good. Unibeam is likely one of the best assists for Nova/Spencer and in the game period. </div><div><br></div><div>3. TAC’s. Ironman infinite is one of the easiest and most damaging. </div><div><br></div><div>4. Team Super. Another benefit from playing Ironman is having access to that team super. Spencer/Ironman teamsuper especially. 1 Frame(IIRC) punish to everything to that leads to a TOD. It’s very good. Even to just do mixups. </div><div><br></div><div>I mean, Ironman isn’t exactly a good anchor. But neither is Strange or Doom. You can make it work since if played correctly, you’ll never have to use Ironman. It’s possible to make a comeback with him and evidenced by Dapvip or other players, but he isn’t exactly great at the anchor position. He really isn’t exactly great in any position, but if you want to use him you can at least use his benefits and have a well constructed team at the same time.</div>
<div>Started playing Nova/Vergil/Strider a couple weeks ago. Amazing stuff.</div><div><br></div><div>It’s pretty similar to Marvelo’s team except without Dante (my Dante is ass lol) but some of the stuff in this team is still pretty ridiculous: DHC into Sword Loops, unblockables with Vergil on point, hit confirms off of Centurion Rush with Vajra, entrance mixups with Rapid Slash, combo extensions with both assists for Nova and Vergil… The only thing this team lacks is a strong horizontal assist in my opinion.</div><div><br></div><div>I still think Dante/Strider might be a better shell than Vergil/Strider but for now I’m happy with this team haha. </div><div><br></div>

How does one start the FoF loop w/o using spencer assist to hardtag? Is the only way by using Karuso’s (sp?) combo that was on the front page a while back? Also on the topic of that combo, I’m having alot of trouble hitting the air dash down H after the wallbounce, I’ve even tried just hitting M+H twice but the H doesn’t come out all the way.
Lastly, what do you guys think of my team? Nova(Cent Rush)/Dante(Jam Session)/Dr. Strange(Bolts)
Thanks!

Kusoru’s combo is the only way to do it without Spencer right now, aside from TAC’s. Hitting the ADD H and then the hard tag is really character specific, but in general you want to try delaying your super jump, delaying the air dash, etc., see what works.<div>That team’s pretty good. Jam Session is arguably not as good for rushing people down as Weasel Shot, but it’s still an S-tier assist and you can make it work. And Bolts are so goddamn good for Nova. So yeah I’d say that’s a pretty solid team.</div>

Hmm, I guess I just get paranoid when I hear IM anchor, I mean I get the idea behind it and I know Doom is not exactly a great anchor, lots of bad matchups against popular anchors, but despite that it doesnt feel as shocking as IM anchor, probably just a matter of being more familiar with Doom anchor I guess. All things considered I guess it might be his best position though.<br><br><br><blockquote class=“Quote”>

Well even when they are a litlte high cancelling early can help to dhc properly with the soft knockdown, I often wait too long by trying to get as many hits as possible in first though. -_-; Thx for the combo btw, for some reason I hadnt thought of using H pulse at all.<br>Tasky/IM sounds interesting, Im curious as to what the two Tonys can do together, though I guess thats probably talk for another board.<br>
Can’t Ironman do the throw-tag stuff with smartbombs? Anyway Nova-Doom is stupid, add one more good assist that works well with both and you really can’t go wrong.

Ironman is a surprisingly capable anchor as long as he gets the hit since he has pretty decent incoming. Similar to Dante.<div><br></div><div><br></div><blockquote class=“Quote”>

Unfortunately not. Though if you have Spencer, you can raw tag him after the crumple.
IM really can’t OTG with smart bombs after a hard tag? But I can do Runner’s Start, Chariot, Torpedo with She-Hulk after a hard and still hit. Thanks Obama.<div><br></div><div>edit- Yeah you can, it’s just less orthodox than most and you need your air dash. </div><div>Mid-screen: ADD whiff H, tag Iron Man, Smart Bomb M, dash forward s.L, M, S etc.</div><div>Corner: ADD whiff M (this is strict timing to not tag your opponent on the way down), tag Iron Man, Smart Bomb M, jump loop, etc.</div>
