Here’s a question, is the s.lk, s.lp, or c.lp followups to MS universal or character specific? I’ve only been able to s.lk balrog consistently after it. Is there a list posted on who it does or does not work on if that’s the case?
Also, the most fun I’ve had was doing MS > s.lk xx MS > s.lk > wait > they jump > U2. Best feeling in the world.
I wouldn’t mind a fightpad if I could find a decent one. But I’d imagine 720 would be a pain on a pad. Also how do you do focus attack? I imagine you assign the shoulder buttons to three punches and kicks. Do you just use the length of your thumb to throw and focus?
Do you mean red focus? If so what I do is I use the shoulder buttons which are set to all three kicks and punches. If you hold forward/backwards and press them together red focus comes out.
I play on xbox pad and 720 sucks on directional pad. The analog is better. And since I play marvel I’m used to pressing those same buttons for xfactor if I need to red focus. I change shoulder buttons depending on if it is a 3 punch or 3 kick ultra.

I play on PS3 pad and it’s pretty easy to get Hugos moves out.
Focus/throw I press the 2 face buttons with my thumb, red focus also press trigger (3 punches).
Main thing for moves is to hit the buttons more then once and they usually come out due to buffer system. Also for MS/ultra1 always finish on up direction with a few presses of button/s and you will see your execution improve no end.
By using the meaty HP Clap on their wakup (easier) or by using the chain OS on his LPs (harder)
Some examples:
LP SPD, then HP Clap and immediately do QCF, QCF+KKK. If they backdash, the HP Palm will wiff and the U2 will come out.
If they block the HP Clap, the added hitstun/blockstun of it will prevent you for recovering faster and beign able to U2, so nothing will come out.
Light punch works with the same principle, because a chain have more priorities than cancels and links.
So you can do in their wakeup something like cr.LP, QCF, QCF+LP+KKK. If they backdash the cr.LP, U2 will come out. If they block, s.LP will come out.
This is EXTREMELY difficult to time, if you time it wrong and they block, you’ll do cr.LP xx EX BB.
You have to discover the exact time frame where cr.LP can’t be cancelled anymore, but can still be chainned with s.LP.
You should practice both of those OSs with cr.MK before trying to U2, it’s easier and it’ll help you get the timming.
Oh, you can also OS from an air attack, so basically:
LK Lariat (hit), dash forward, wait a bit, jump with d.HP (the safe jump you probably already know) and just as the d.HP would hit, input the U2 command. If they backdash, you’ll hit the floor ealier (d.HP will whiff) and U2 will come out. If they block or get hit by it, you’ll stay in the air a bit longer because of blockstun/hitstun and the U2 won’t come out.
Learn this. This option select puts insane amounts of pressure and options when u get a knockdown. Getting os bb or ultra 2 will train opponents to just block on wakeup which will allow u to go wild with whiff mp clap mixups
