3rd Strike - PDX Tilt
199?-2005

I’ll be up later today. Eric and I will probably be at the Tilt tomorrow. Will post later. Peace.

Not going to Seattle. Can play at the Tilt on Monday evening perhaps, but I’ve decided with the recent news that I don’t wish to go.
Did you guys lose your cabinet again or did it brake?
I heard Eugene or Springfield or something took it
What time are you going to be at Tilt?
g
we’ll be there around 6:00. And the Springfiled Tilt has 3s now.
I’m gonna head down to tilt around 4 today (friday) for some MvC2!!!11
In light of loss of cabinet and everyone’s schedule. I perpose a biweekly gaming night weekends are always good for but what works best for everyone else? I know for fact that I could run 2 games simultaniously! Let’s see if we can ge this to work.
We do have weekly meetings Wednesdays at PSU to play some games, the majority of the people should remain PSU students, but non-students are welcome to come, and concidering there hasnt been a following for games besides fighting games, the competition would probably be welcome.
It would be nice to see how well the refugees from Tilt will work in the weekly, but who knows…
But definitely should host some other biweekly events…
Hellsap and I are gonna be getting a place together with another tilt player in the near future somewhere in southeast, and as I’m gonna get a 3s cabinet, I think we should host them there once in a while, but that probably won’t be until mid-april…
when are the T5 tournies held? also, this is the scronny white guy with glasses and short hair whom you’ve all beasted time and time again.
Slightly off-topic, but I’m over here and I go to one of the local arcades, and I notice something different about one of the KoF2002 cabinets. As in, it’s playing the SF3:3S opening.
So I go over to check it out, 100 won per game(roughly 10 cents), but there’s a catch. Only three buttons work per side(out of four buttons there; it’s a former KOF machine). And they’re all punches.
Didn’t get too far with no kicks, no throws, no overheads, and no taunts. Luckily, I think they’re getting that fixed, because someone else pointed it out to a tech and he opened it up to rewire stuff, but still…I know Street Fighter games are rare around here, but to boot up the game with only 3 working buttons per side?
Know what their idea of a fix was?
Put 6 buttons on each side, then put KOF2002 back in the cabinet. :wow:
Back to sharing in the 3S-lessness.
best fix Ive ever heard of.
cant grab any console release over there?
Can anyone give me a ride to the 2/19 seattle tourney? I’ll pay for some gas money. If anyone can I’ll post up my number. If your wondering who I am, I’m the only Mexican guy who plays … that’s good.
I could; I’ve got a PS2 here, but my only way of hooking it up would be to go buy an extra monitor and get a VGA box, because they don’t allow TVs in the dorm rooms here.
That and the arcades are really cheap anyway. Games range between 100-200 won(usually 200) for fighters. Mostly Tekken 5, VF4, and KOF, so I just play KOF.
Except for NeoWave. It’s here, but pretty much everyone seems to ignore it.
You PDX types should update your info to show your Xbox GamerTag so we can play some 3S…
Val’s already on it, but I haven’t seen him online yet. . .
<–
Already played something around 350 3S matches :wasted:. Still trying to get a good feel for it, its usually pretty fun though. GXDominion sounds familiar but I can’t remember.
Edit: We just played some matches. Revenge for me with the Alex stomp on wakeup though you don’t know it, that was fun hehe. Like probably the first time I ever played 3S was against you and you stomped my ass over and over on wakeup until stopping because I was new and couldn’t stop it and didn’t really know what the hell was going on. I use it when I can now. GG’s though a little laggy.
