I’M BAAAACK!! Sorry I haven’t been around much, I have no Internets where I’m currently living, so I have to visit the library just to log in. Just wanted to let you guys know that I’m showing up at Matt’s place tomorrow no matter what. With the exception of playing against Dusty, Nate, and a few others at PortCon, I haven’t gotten any good matches in for a long time, so it’ll be tons of fun to see where everyone’s at with their FG’s of choice. Had an AWESOME time tonight fellas! Matt thanks for hosting us journeymen NH folk, it was an absolute pleasure to be there and get a really nice session in with some cool peeps and good players. Dusty looking forward to our rematches, I have some Bison studying to do lol. Thanks as well to all of the people I played in Marvel (I was running the Hsien-Ko, Hulk, Ironman team). I owe some runbacks to the pad players that had to gut it out on stick, since you were out of your element =). Hopefully we helped contribute to a really fun fight night for you guys. ggs last night guys. it was a fun time. i was the one that played gief and a little bit of hawk at the start of the evening. see you guys around.
Mox, take whatever you like man haha. My Hulk hero is a guy named Mr. Sinister from the Option Select stream. Ran Hulk on point, with Dorm and Task. Obviously my team is waaay different, but he has a lot of sick combos and setups which I have been slowly applying to my game. Smart use of gamma crush/Tornado is also something to note and apply as well since it’s so invincible and the latter unexpected. Hulk is unique and the combos and strategies are different depending on assist and of course where he fits on your team. I love him on point regardless of the matchup, but will never play him on anchor, he’s not very good there unless you are godlike of course haha.
What a hype fight night that was last night. After all the crap I’ve had to put up with these past few months, seeing all my old friends (along with lots of great new ones) was a treat. Minus the giant globs of sweat, it was perfect. I can’t wait until next time!
Thank you to all who came over yesterday and enjoyed themselves! It was great to meet a lot of new faces, from near and far, and it was great that everyone seemed to have a good time, despite the heat/sweat-heavy air lol. Hope to show some love back at the NH scene next month at the PWA tourny, and thanks to kraig for teaching me more about Zangief AND Honda in ten minutes than I have learned in a year! You a have knack for explaining things clearly man. I don’t know when I will be hosting another night, but hopefully some if not all can make it then.

Gentlemen, I’ll make this short to gauge interest and any comments, questions, concerns etc. When Marvel 3 was first released and prior to the Souper Bowl Tournament I ran something called the “Marvel Room” for players in the NH area that usually came to my apartment for casuals. It was an entire weekend and I rented out a decent sized suite, we brought food, drinks, and of course lots of setups and grinded marvel, SSF4 among other games alI day and night. It was awesome!
We are looking to run another next weekend (EVO weekend) for one night on Saturday July 30th. Obviously depending on the amount of Maine attendees we would make it completely accessible to you gents, so hours of travel is not involved. I would also ask that (if capable) 5-10 bucks be a venue fee to help with the expense of the room, food and drinks, essentially money you would spend on that stuff anyway. Obviously the more people the less of an expense it is for everyone. Plus we plan to have the EVO stream running through out the day, night and Early morning. Sleep is for the dead!
So much for keeping it short and I know it is very short notice as some of you may in fact be heading to EVO. Give it some thought or if you know right away please let me know if you would be interested. Looking for atleast 10 people total to make this worthwhile to have that can stay for a majority of the time, if not staying over in the room we choose. Thanks for the time in advance, keep grindin’ out those levels!
