One other thing regarding Amiibo scanning. If you use the Shadow Mewtwo card a second time(First to temporarily unlock him) it’ll count as one of your 5 Amiibo uses for bonus items.
I scanned, had to reboot, nothing came up when I entered the game. This Amiibo shit confuses me.
That said, I figured the phase shift worked something like that. Way I see it, with R.Pika if I get a raw hit I can do a full looped combo, otherwise it’s best to end with an early stunner for the Phase Shift because any more hits will just drop mid combo.
It speaks volumes to the kind of personalities that are going to be posting there.
The SFV board was full of the same shit, today, over a month into the game’s life, its still basically garbage. Leaving a lot of players to go to Facebook or reddit as the primary resource for sharing tech.
Its a really lousy first impression.
Getting way off topic though, I’m having trouble figuring out where Gardevoir wants to play at in field phase. Characters I don’t want getting in are doing so easier than I would like and ranged powerhouses with better projectile durability are winning at range.
Just need to lab it out I suppose.
So many Tekken inspired moves across all of the characters in this game, it’s really cool. Namco put a LOT of attention to detail in every single aspect of this game.

I’m sure there’s a few I’ve missed too…aside from some of the moves however, there’s a couple of other easter egg’s I’ve noticed too…
-Dark Colosseum references the Astral Chaos: Pathway stage from Soul Calibur V
-Dragon’s Nest references the Dragon’s Nest stage from Tekken 5, has the exact same name even
-Magikarp Festival references Bountiful Sea stage from Tekken Tag Tournament 2
-Old Ferrum Town closely resembles Historic Town Square stage from Tekken Tag Tournament 2
-There’s over 70 Pokemon total hidden and in plain sight in the backgrounds of all the stages
Gardevoir is best at mid range in Field Phase, she has better air projectiles than she does on the ground though. Side+Y combo is one of her stronger ground specials for spaced pressure, but you’re gonna wanna make use of her arrows as well as her stance moves mostly. I think she benefits the most from the Misdraveus, Diglett, or Reshiram assists personally. Electrode works too because he does batshit crazy damage and gets people off of her. I also think she’s a lot stronger in Duel Phase than she is in Field, contrary to how it may seem.
Honestly, when it comes to the zoners in this game, I think she’s closer to the bottom. Gengar, Sceptile, and most of all Chandelure all do a better job of what she tries to do. It isn’t any surprise to me you’re having trouble with characters who do well applying close up pressure because she doesn’t seem to have as many ways to deal with it as some of the other 'Mons.
What fucks me up is remembering that my character has different normals in each phrase. When I want to use Machamp range attacks and remembering he only has those in field phrase.
