Pokemon X and Y: Aftermath (GEN 6 Discussion, Tier Talk, Breeding, Meganite)

Since Mega Pokemon have to give up an item slot to Megaevolve I don’t see it as being as big a crutch mechanic or overpowered as some think it is (Anti.)

That excludes M-Blaziken.

As much as I want to rape people with MegaBlaze, I know it’ll be frowned upon in normal play but it’s understandable. Before however making any assumptions, we all need to see the stats and what changed and by how much.

As for shudder Smogon, Yes I admit I have an account many years ago in hopes of reasoning with the savages. Oh what a fool I was. Not only do they believe what I use was “Too gimmicky” but they later on take what the told ME as not viable (IE not cookie cutter enough) and Mods come and make similar pokes and claim it as their own thus the community celebrates it as “REFRESHING AND UNIQUE” Same shit happened to @White Shadow and his Torment set…except he was wise enough not to talk directly to them.

I only use their site for info and nothing more now. Their forum makes SRKs FGD boards look like a haven of scholarly wisdom and complete intelligent discussion.

That means no more of that only attacking-moves BS. When it comes to movesets, you’re looking for coverage and to play to that Pokemon’s strengths.

Well actually a good amount of Pokemon can run only attacking moves…

It’s more no multiples of the same type move outside of some exceptions.

it really depends on the pokemon and what the purpose of your team is going to be.

Solar Power Sun Blast Burn Charizard is all you need.

Yeah, for all 1 attack you get off if you’re lucky.

Yea, I know… I’m mainly referring to that whole “Does it do damage? No? Do not learn” thing we all used to do lol

Very true.

People are going to learn set up moves.

I prefer Choice specs Porygon z hyper beam thank you very much.

Haha… Us Gen I vets remember when you didn’t get move descriptions/move relearners/deleters and had to play a horrible gamble with learning moves.

If you didn’t have a guidebook/internet, you were fucked, lol…

…Fuck you Fire Spin…ruined my Charizard set…

Can’t lie, I skip alot of set up moves.

Well that’s where the thinking will have to change a slight bit.

We will teach Movesets and we will teach Roles.

Fuck I feel like a damn noob:(

Seriously, been playing pokemon since gen 1. Feels like im reIearning the game all over

Might as well start with what moves are considered okay vs which ones are outclassed/useless unless in specific situations.

Also a which moves should my Pokemon run FAQ I guess.

Alright, well you’re better asking what moves are good or not because there are a LOT of moves to cover in this game and some have niches as well.

Well when the new games hit I may gloss over it.
