I have not really done my research on this new generation Pokémon series yet.
But, what really piques my interest are the Fairy types. And, of course, there are going to some brand new shenanigans worth learning about on a competitive basis. Little things like this really excites me.
(I’m really out of the loop - I’ve only played Black/White2 passively).
BTW I saw that Pokémon Origin trailer and one thing is made clear as always: Red and Blue (well… Green) are going to wreck shit up!! They’re bosses!
The ones who said, “nah, fuck you… I’m gonna chill right here,” too: Pidgeot, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Haunter and Butterfree. I’m probably missing a bunch lol
Everybody always forgets Ash’s greatest Non-Charizard Pokemon–Primeape. His debut episode is one of my favorites from the OG season, and showed us just how badass Charmander was before he evolved into the God-King Charizard.
Seems like the rumored typing of the starters may be true after all; Fennekin is able to learn Psybeam, and Froakie has Quick Attack in its learnset-- Hopefully Froakie turns out to be a fast and powerful sweeper, Fennekin the more rounded one with a strong Sp. Attack stat, and Chespin focuses on defense.
Also, Helioptile has Dry Skin ability and derp-lion Litleo has Unnerve… Unfortunately, Sylveon gets shafted with the Cute Charm ability. Oh well, guess being Fairy type is good enough for it, lol.
The anime with Red looks interesting, I just hope they make him more spirited and less of a dumbass like Ash was.
What i will say is that battling Red on Mt.Silver was one of the best moments in gaming for me. What an “OSHI!” moment for those who didn’t spoil themselves.
