I used Rest/Talk Guts Machamp with Cross Chop/Stone Edge back in the day. Opponents were confused as to why their damage calcs seem to be off. Not missing is better, but wasting a awesome IV’d Machamp (Thanks VS) because it was Guts is worse imo.

I really lost my mind when I realized how much PERFECT IVS don’t really matter. Like if you have an 18 iv and a 31 iv the difference is like 4 stat points in the end.

Yeah shit hits so hard now, that Latios/Latias(without Soul Dew) and Garchomp are simply OU… However, the domination of weather and the Pokes who abuse it best have either been stripped of their primary abilities, The aforementioned Sand Veil Chomp and the incredibly dangerous and OP Cacturne, Sandslash, Glaceon, and Froslass must use their other abilities in non-uber environments or have been banned outright(see Excadrill, Thundurus-I and Tornadus-T)…
I could have sworn that Smogon said they wouldn’t do any kind of complex bans back when poor Blaziken got sent to the Shadow Realm… Huh… funny how that works-- the stuff that immediately threatens Sandstorm and Tyranitar gets slapped with Uber status, but the strategies and mons it can handle remain… funny.

I remember my friend had gotten a gameshark and challenged me to face him in DPP. I was like you serious. All his pokemon had 999 stats. Gave a bunch of my pokemon focus sashes and developed my first trick room set. He did let me get a bunch of rare candies and a bunch of TMs so I could stand a chance cuz he thought he could win with his pokemon cuz his pokemon had wonderguard too.
Focus sashes, trick room, skill swap, and toxic to show that nigga I’m better than that shit. Won then that boy said I cheated. That was probably the highlight of my pokemon career
Smogon’s “rules” don’t mean fucking shit. Did they buy your gameboy/gba/ds/3ds? NO. Did they buy your RBY/GSC/RSE/DPP/HGSS/BWB2W2? No the fuck they didn’t. People only follow those rules by choice. Nobody’s making them do it. You payed for the system and the game. Play it how you want.
Hmm, I need to start net battling again. Think I’ll try running a team that counters all weather and see how well it works.
Thing is, since a majority plays by those rules, it’s pretty hard to find solid, competitive battlers outside that scene… sadly. SRK was the only place outside of netbattle/ smogon where we logically analyzed what bans made sense.

It’s reasons like this is why I don’t battle much at all anymore. Hard to make sure I’m battling someone with a non hacked/legit team. I don’t ever and never will do netbattle or stuff like it. And I won’t ever follow anything smogon. The last battles I remember doing people are so bitchy about what rules to follow. It’s like they just want to make some rules that best suit there team. And some of those rules I don’t mind as long as it’s reasonable. I used to battle a LOT during the DPP days on wifi but not a lot since. Because at times it became really hard to find someone that didn’t use hacks or where so picky about the rules for battles.
You know, we COULD start up a SRK Pokemon league again…

I’m too terrible at Pokemon. I only know how to Reuniclus people to death.
I’d say I’m down for some battles, but I’m ironically incredibly lazy and totally ADHD about running teams (I will stop in the middle of building one team just because an idea for a new team pops in my head) so I will be really inconsistent to play against.
That, and I like to play with hax occasionally, so I might have a Sand Veil Gliscor with Guillotine or a Double Team Scizor/Dusclops with Spite(really awesome for trolling people who love inaccurate power attacks with low PP, btw), but I don’t mind putting those away to play straight up.
My best friend and I used to run stuff like that back in the day when we battled, and we never got pissed off or annoyed-- I guess we just liked playing and battling so much, we were excited to try anything and everything. I think the only rule we had was that you could only bring one Mewtwo if you were gonna use it(we all had multiples–Thank you based Stadium and GB Tower on 3x speed).

TL;DR: I’d be down to play you guys, but I don’t think I have anything @ lvl 100 because of the current level capping rules for Nintendo event stuff, and I make troll teams-- A LOT OF TROLL TEAMS.
