no, you can force ditto to pass on its nature
breeding rules are like
if a parent holds an everstone it will pass on the nature. if both parents hold an everstone it’s 50/50.
x/y changed a few things. you can pass hidden abilities with parent+ditto now - couldn’t before.
so for competitive battling, the dittos to have for offense would be adamant, modest (-spA or Atk, +the other atk), jolly, timid (- the non used atk, +speed)
for defense it’s like calm/careful for sp defense or impish/bold for phys defense
certain pokemon can do -speed, such as trick room sets [lol trick room] or pokemon that want to use gyro ball
Okay this is coming from someone who pretty much gave up on Pokemon. Look I am 33 and playing Pokemon is getting a bit ridiculous.
To me Pokemon White and Black was so terrible I quit playing the game right before the 3rd gym and sold off all my Pokemon games (all the GBA and DS titles, with Diamond having all 493 Pokemon, Zero Shinys).
I never got to Black and White 2. Everything about it made the series toxic to me. All I got left is my old copy of Silver for the GameBoy and it needs a new battery.
So when I decided to get Pokemon X, I was starting Fresh again, like in the old days of Red and Blue.
Let em tell you something, that feeling I had in my late teens when I played Pokemon Red for the first time came back.
What ever the hell Nintendo did game content wise they are doing right if they can get someone who is heavy bias against Pokemon back into the series and enjoying it again.
All i got out of that was: 33 years old, and a sailor moon avatar. Hah

Well “sold off” was not the right words.They all went to a close friend whose a big fan of the series but due too having a tight budget never got all the past Pokemon games he wanted.
I knew better than selling the games to Gamestop or a Pawn shop as I get crap for them. I was going to sell them on auction on eBay or here in the Trading Outlet.
But my friend offered to buy the whole collection if I give him time to raise the funds. I saw his Birthday was coming up so I gave him the entire collection as a Present instead.
I rather the games get a good home than to go to some punk kid that his parents didn’t spank him or her enough.
I also left out I included the 2 Game Cube games, Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness (with the rare Jirachi GC disk).
He ended up giving any duplicate games to his sister.

The TCG was much better when Nintendo allowed Wizards of the Coast to manufacturer and manage things.
Unfortunately their contract expired and Nintendo gave (or threw away) the TCG to The POKEMON Company where they muck things up.
Fortunately for Wizards, Wizards has the patents and copyrights to everything about the TCG game except for the characters. Also Konami has to pay Wizards royalties as the vital parts of the Yugioh game mechanics are patents of Wizards.
Its why there isn’t another Pokemon Trading card Video Game (or been release to virtual console) as Nintendo can’t do another Trading Card video game without Wizards being involved.
