that or they realized they fucked up dratini was clearly top tier and wanted to curb how quickly we could get them… i think your explanation fits better though haha
I literally just made to 12 this past weekend at Otakon from walking around the harbor. However, I’m more concerned with hatching eggs more than leveling up, and I mainly wanted to just get to the double-digits anyway.
So my pokedex hit 99. I could have hit 100, but I decided I’d rather evolve a strong Machamp rather than just evolving the Machoke I had. so Im like 10 candies short of the 100 pokedex.
Also, nest spawns supposedly changed again… curious to see whats out here.
Spawns seem much better overall and nests seem much more defined than before. Found a really sweet gowlithe nest by my work i started hittig it today got 3-4 growlithes an hour. Very happy with the tiny changes so far. Now whens gen2!!!
Maybe pokemon that reach level 30 perhaps. But pokemon that are lower level will remain the same. At least thats my assumption. Theres no way any calculators would work if shit was all over the place depending on your level.
At level 20, you reach the maximum player level that affects wild pokemon stats; so a person catching at level 20 and at level 25 both have the maximum CP for that pokemon the same.
The difference is the level 25 has a higher cap for training it with stardust and candy.
Maybe once you get past 30, the requirements for leveling the pokemon up past that goes up a lot? Sort of like an exponential equation? That could be possible
Level 20 is the max for hatched pokemon. Lvl 30 is the max for wild pokemon.
Trainer level is different from pokemon level.
Trainer levels affect how strong your pokemon is able to be powered upto (0.5 level above your trainer level) and the potential level of wild pokemon encounters.
You can work out what your pokemon level is by how much stardust and candy is required to power it up. Pokemon levels beyond 30 suffer from diminishing returns, in that the stardust and candy cost increases at a much faster rate and the power up benefits are lowered, yes. It’s similar to how experience gain required to level increases exponentially at the top end to discourages any big advantages from just ‘being at a higher level’.
They really need to refreshen the game by adding the new features such as trading and maybe the new gens too because i honestly think this game is dropping. It’s like Niantic cared more about the difficulty than the fun factor.
