oh, they way you worded it made it seem like you were running rain dance on him, i apologize
the big problem with this set is that toxic spikes + scald seems counter-intuitive, it wants to spread status but it can’t when you’re going to be poisoning everything with tspikes, making scald a not so good option, you would be much better off running surf for that extra oomph if you really don’t want to run hydro pump
but if you want to keep scald, i’d suggest running spikes over toxic spikes, usually having a poke try to spread 2 statuses is not good, really limiting the effects of one of the pokemon’s moves
although, i would really say don’t use spikes on greninja do to how laughably easy it is to remove them off the field this gen thanks to defog but i’d say spikes over tspikes on greninja because he wants the enemy at lower life and really dont’ care if they’re statused or not, he just wants to punch babies but since you really want to, i feel that my suggestions would make much more efficient use out of greninja
oh and statusing conkeldurr is probably the worst mistake you can make, since conk is a good switch-in to greninja unless you carry extrasensory
Yeah, I have like 3 boxes of fully trained Pokemon, which makes it hard to sort their items and shit because some of them use two of the same…it’s like there’s no way to organize without it being tedious as fuck.
@Mood
Yeah, I’m starting to realize that Toxic Spikes might not be worth the effort it took to get it. Probably gonna switch to regular spikes even if it’s just for Electric coverage.
do not use spikes for defensive purposes, use it because your team needs them, if you want electric coverage run a real ground type or run mega venu or something, especially when rotom-w is on like…every team in existence, it’s just better to use something with actual bulk instead of trying to play the mindgame with greninja (as one mistake with greninja probably leads to a dead greninja)
For Protean Greninja Grass Knot should take care of the type issue just fine, or you could go Dark Pulse/Ice Beam to get the damage over the 1/2 resistance.
how is venusaur not an option on a rain team? he’s a grass type, they’re awesome in the rain, you can always just forgo synthesis and use leech seed, he’s awesome in the rain and do remember, he learns weatherball
i’m not saying use it, but venusaur is definitely an option for a rain team
