I actually haven’t given this any thought. Considering that Poison does joke damage compared to most of the cast, it’d be really interesting to see if she has any dash-under resets. I’ll have to mess around in the lab.
Jamp had talked about dash under re-sets before i’d just forgot about them…and forgot about how he set them up o_O but they do exist…i’m just a tad absent minded of late. . .
Personally I enjoy Poison/Rolento because I love how one combo can just place someone at a corner situation from neutral screen
I find also with Poison doing damage and rolento with speed and meter It has the inverse effect on matches that may have been a problem previously especially with these mixup games from Rolento. Haveing him buzz around gain meter and scare or frustrate people into doing stuff is very fun. And by then they’ve forgotten how to fight Poison with them up to their necks in nightstick antics.
My only draw back, or gripe with this team? Rolento feels as if he’s stealing juggle points when I tag in Poison off of Patriot Circle.
That would be dependent on when you started the juggle, normally if you (TC) off Patriot Circle(or any more for that matter) it resets the juggle counter, so there mite be something your adding to it, or its wiffing(or a bug) give or take, its one of those. however, im glad to see you post what makes your team tick you know~
Combo_Knight, you should know as well as anyone that Rolento and Poison have some really sick juggles in the corner so exploit that~ that and consider the other options you have too~ as with that team you have options!
Non-CH anti airs. Haven’t tested them yet, but if simply AAing isn’t fast enough, AA xx Aeolus CADC, then dash under.
ahh ok, you want me to test it right now?
Edit: its difficult for me to do o_O
i can see it possible but because her dash is kinda short you gotta be close, i’ll try to find something else~
you know whats stupid, overhead goes over grounded opponents making a weird mixup.
Just tried, doesn’t work.
However, cancelling into LMT pushes them to the edge of the screen and gives you a really meaty LMT that pushes them to the edge of the screen! Great for pushing them into the corner and it’s also a free frame trap.
what anti-air are you using Jamp? for the last example you gave, and i could dash cancel under them(requires 2 dashes on certain characters), but it still its not practical at all because its obvious…
I tried with both s.:mp: and c.:hp:. Neither worked, and two dashes isn’t going to work since they’ll see it from a mile away. Maybe a really deep cl.:hk: could work, but I didn’t try it out.
Lol definitely, don’t forget that, lol. Bnb into Ex wol (x4) into c. Mp -> HK KBG tc St. HK x3 is some derpy stuff.
Just gotta make sure you tag on time because it could change the out come of the juggle becuase character entry is based on the side you are on. If you switch on KGB and the game feels like you are on the wrong side, well you may end up with less reps than you wanted
yeah it didn’t seem practical to me so i guess we have to find another way to do a reset.
I use Poison/Asuka… I’m not perfectly refined in the whole team-play thing, but I’m working on it… and so far this team isn’t bad at all.
why does this team work? please input details in why a team works together…either combos or set ups that are unique to that pair.
In all honesty, I use’em because they’ve got the nicest boobs in the game… Even if Poison’s boobs are grown with extensive use of hormone therapy… (that’s my stance on it anyways, implants don’t jiggle or droop like that… and don’t gimme any of that “it’s a game” crap…).
I do like generic combos ending in Asuka’s launcher with Poison coming in with a L/M/HK juggle, or Poison Launcher combos with Asuka’s Double lift kicks, even if you can’t further juggle them after the DLKs.
…ok…im just going to pretend i didn’t read that first part, and about generic combos. . . I’d personally wanted to main Asuka as she was one of my T6 mains however she feels vastly different and generally weird…however she has alot of good moves to TC from and to get Poison in if thats what you need, also Asuka can benefit from Poison by screen positioning, its highly likely that Poison can push her opponent into the corner…Asuka has very dirty combos in the corner so using Poison as a medium to get there is actually rather smart.
i could go into further detail like gem and point set up, but that was the point i was trying to make…this is what i want from people…I generally want to figure out what goes on in other peoples minds so i can look at things from another perspective…i can really do that when i get vague or simple answers…or just irrelevant ones(no offense).
this thread was made to try in help people build teams and whats important for “Poison” to have in a team set up. i’ll keep beating a dead horse until people stop giving one liners like…“i use this team because…they both have hats”
Sorry sorry, I’m not great with team games ^_^;;; The technicality of it at least. I like breaking the characters down individually, but I could be better when it comes to the whole cross cancel system and whatnot.
I could actually go to say I like using Poison first to see how the opponent reacts to my attacks, then use Asuka after to test against them.
its ok~ im not a execution beast either, thats why i have such cool friends helping me. the point is that I would like to have this as a fun learning experience for anyone who is involved. you mite learn something new with a team you use and thats cool right? thats what i want to bring here…weather or not we use the exact same team is irrelevant because we still all use Poison to a extent right? using knowledge from someone else and integrating it to something else gets our creative juices going and we try out new things~
sorry if i come off as a worry warrant, its just that i kinda want to see people explain things out, especially on a topic such as this one.
I’ve been messing around with Julia lately and was wondering if any of you folks might have some possible input on Poison/Julia or Julia/Poison.
im willing to help…i haven’t played much of Julia in SFxTK to tell you the truth(without shotgun she seem pointless) however, she has good strings and specials that give good combo opportunities and she does solid damage too, not to mention a 2 frame super…shes very versatile.
but you gotta meet me half way too…so kinda explain why you think it works and what combos/set ups you have came up with, no matter how basic…
orrr you can just do a Shootdown Backbreaker after KBG TC works anywhere on screen.
