Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale Announced

Nothing says “Screw you” like going 10-2. That chicken super is godlike.

LMAO… Someone actually made a PSABR mod for Brawl.

Kratos is hugely nerfed from the private beta. His air forward+triangle used to not knock them back and led to free combos/super. At one point in the private beta they made his lvl 1 super have a long start up time, I’m assuming to make it not combo as easy, but it was worthless so I’m glad they changed it back. His arrows fire a bit slower too (I think). His ground Triangle slam move used to not pop them up as high, so you could get the full up air square into up triangle, but that’s not possible either.

Sweet Tooth was nearly broke in the beta. He could shoulder ram like 3 times and have a level 1, so they nerfed that hard. Sweet Tooth is all about the tech chase. Knock them down with a down+triangle in the air and follow their wake up with a super = free kill. His forward+square has reduced range it feels like and his level 2 is still complete garbage.

Radec feels about the same, although I didn’t play him a lot in the private beta. Not sure if it’s intended but he still gains meter when you block his attacks. If there’s a Radec sniper spam, just air dodge them while gaining ground and force him to use his unsafe close up attacks then punish.

Fat Princess’ “assist” attacks require no start up from the princess herself, so you can do them even while doing other moves. I think they nerfed her level 1, not sure though.

Since Sly can’t block, would Parappa’s yoyo attack be an infinite on him?

If you just kept mashing neutral circle (it’s also a microphone, by the way) you wouldn’t be attacking fast enough to stop Sly from mashing out of it and beating you out of startup. If you were to go for an ACTUAL infinite, the IPS would stop you of course. There’s resets you could try, but I don’t think any worthwhile resets go into neutral circle.

I’m playing the beta but I wish there was just a simple Practice Room so I could get my moves down. Can’t wait to main Kratos and Cole from Infamous

Parappa’s lvl 3 is awful. It’s full screen but can only get a max of 3 kills. His lvl 2 is far better. A lot of lvl 2s are better than lvl 3s.

You can dodge his level 2. You absolutely cannot dodge his level 3. It’s a choice between the CHANCE of getting 3 kills (more if you’re incredibly lucky) or getting 3 kills GUARANTEED.

yeah, I like the way the supers are balanced so far. it’ll be interesting to see in 2v2 (the breakout competitive mode it seems) if dodging stuff like parappa’s lv 2 is readily able so players will go for the guaranteed lv 3 instead.

Well to be fair, simply due to the fact that your a constant hitbox in lvl2 and can maneuver around, his lvl 2 is hard to avoid if set up properly (and it’s not hard to set it up). But basically, a lot of lvl 3s let you get 6 kills if properly used. Hell, even some level 2s can easily get 3 kills. Even if it’s guaranteed, I can’t see the appeal of it especially since, from my experience, getting a lvl 3 can take an awful long time.

It boggles my mind how fucking stupid people are in this game. Some players are so focus in making my hell for playing Radec they completely ignore Parappa in the corner summoning boomboxes or beating up on the player that dropped out of the match for free meter.

Considering you can’t double jump while in level 2, air dodging exists, and some characters have their own specific ways of getting higher or staying in the air, unless you activate right on top of someone, it’s not hard to avoid it. You could be lucky to get one kill especially with how short his level 2 lasts, and in that situation, I’d rather just do a level 1 reset.

The level 3 supers that can rack up the kills like that are generally given to characters who have comparatively weaker lower level supers (except for Kratos who is a cheap asshole and doesn’t have any flaws). Sweet Tooth has an incredibly limited level 1 that has short range and is pretty hard to kill more than one person and his level 2 is AWFUL, Sly’s level 1 is slow and easy to dodge, his level 2 is ALSO pretty easy to dodge if you pay attention, and Radec has a super slow level 1 and a level 2 that’s easy to avoid and basically has a 3 kill limit if you’re lucky and no one is paying attention.

As for building the meter, I know it’s free for all and it’s pretty god damn hard to do so, but you should really be going for one of Parappa’s BOUNTIFUL IPS activating combos that will get you serious meter in no time.

John Grimm teach me the cheap shit. I want to dominate 12 year olds online and listen to them cry on the mic.

Then just play Radec, chuck nades to cover space, and spam sniper. No one can fight Radec because most people have never played a fighting game before and never had to deal with zoning before. As long as you get your rolling down and punish with forward square into Sniper, I guarantee you’ll be winning most of the matches you play.

Kratos: do square square triangle into air square square square to get level 3 (you will get level 3 unless you have the worst game ever) then do square square square into triangle and sometimes circle to murder things in level 3 then go back to doing the other combo and use HADES AWAITS over and over again
Radec: what Grimm said, also fun fact when the platforms on the sides of Hades descend go onto those platforms and shoot his level 2, the resounding beam will hit people standing on the higher platform
Sly: spam counter (n.O) to punish everything ever (including items[!]) and to get off free backstabs which leech meter. Murray (Level 1) and taking pictures (of spiderman) (Level 3) are really dumb)
Parappa: Utilizing the item part of the tutorial learn all the IPS triggering combos and spam skateboard (Skateboard DOES have a second jump Grimm) because, on average, you’ll get 2 level 2’s per match.

Tooth and Princess 2fair

What would you say is the best way to cover ground when someone has the sniper? Also, anyone figure out any Kratos combos? haha

Boots of Hermes airdash.

Fat Princess can essentially spam her knights and butt slam to get level 2. Also any move she has where she spins is broken.

Sweet Tooth’s shotgun comes out like instantly and is basically your DP. Shoulder tackle is also hard to deal with because it covers more ground than people expect and no one ever blocks it. Planting mines is always a good idea because you can just leave them places and people will HAVE to deal with them at some point.

How? This is one of the reasons I wanted a practice room to try all my moves out.

It’s an item you can pick up mid game.
