I used to use hitman all the time back in the day, I was an asshole who always wanted to be mvp lol
Man, this game is just made for trolling/being an asshole.
I love it.
MVP is kill streak oriented though, not points. I could see how someone could make the connection regardless. If you go 7-0 and your opponent goes 9-2 but only got a 6, then a 3 kill streak. The person with 7-0 would get MVP, from what I understand. For the longest time I actually thought it was actual K/D ratio, I’d get confused why someone goes 5-0 beat my 8-2 or whatever. Eventually someone set me straight in the skype group.
Anyways, moving on.
Small find with Douglas that makes his rampage just as good as Bayonetta’s.
He can AAc out of his final hit and immediately follow up with air HKW. This works because there’s slowdown when you nail somebody with one of these, allowing for moves with more start-up come into place. (If it’s cancelable, lot’s of peoples aren’t or take so long before the window opens that it isn’t applicable)
So:
Rampage Mash - Launcher hit - AAc - aHKW - (since aHKW is sped up here, it’s very easy to follow up with dive) - Dive
I should note this doesn’t work offline because the slow motion doesn’t happen and the heavy has “knock away” properties instead of launch properties for some reason. Weird. He isn’t the only character with some movies that change their properties in rampage, either. Oinkies final W on his ground string launches when he’s in rampage. WHY.
Anarchy reigns for most fundamentally broken game ever.
Wait, I thought it was just who ever has the most points wins? And if the guy who got 9-2 was killing opponents with less points then he would be further down the leaderboard?
MVP is for kill streak rewards, highest points overall is The King; and considering that getting MVP is a 30,000 point bonus, it starts to really add up with the other bonuses and can turn some games around despite having like, 3 less kills than the other guy. Lastly, depending on when you die and who kills you, that 20% drop in your score could ruin your run. Beware deaths in Extra Time more than any other point in the match.
My bad guys, I forgot MVP was a bonus. I actually meant getting to first place, the reason I used hitman back in the day was so I could be number one in battle royales and shit, guess I have been playing too much Halo 3, where who ever got first place is called “MVP”.
My bad guys, miscommunication on my part. Still hitman is good for just running after the top 3 players (easy to find thanks to the crowns on the map) and just stealing kills or thowing a tire or what ever when they don’t expect it, easy points. Of course this probably won’t work now days due to how defensive the game has become, and the fact that people actually look at there radars now.
Is there any point of the extra jump height you get with sprinter? Like is there any specific combos you can do with it?
The extra jump height gives Garuda a j.kwl loop similar to Leo’s (Heavy, weak, AA ,j.KWL, repeat). A bit tricky to time, but this gives Garuda the ability to kill off a launch. I always use Sprinter when I pick Garuda because of the loop, and then extra speed is nice too.
I’m not sure about any potential combos with the other characters. I might experiment with it and see what I can find with it.
didn’t see anyone else mention them, but i found out that you can damage/kill your own mutants in team battle using objects in the environment like cars or barrels. oh & you can headshot mutants in any mode with the rifle.
wish i could find something really, really practical like eeryone.
oh & more thing: do any of you find yourselves still capable of having “fun” on ar compared to other stuff out there (be it singleplayer/multiplayer, whatever)
Guys, I’ll be streaming for charity to help injured and sick kids this weekend (Extra Life 2013). It’s a 25 hour long stream, and there will be many games where I play with the viewers. One of the games is Anarchy Reigns. A lot of people will be tuning in, so this might be a good way for you guys to showcase the game and maybe grow the community.
Let me know if you want to commentate and/or play on stream. Thanks.
I actually still have fun on Anarchy every time I get on if you can believe that. <_<
It’s mostly because every time I get on, something incredibly stupid/hilarious happens and I can’t help but laugh it off. Game is too broken to get all worked up about IMO. =P
I have fun on AR when the game doesn’t seem to be out to get me. When I’m mad, it’s usually at the game doing something to shit on me or someone getting some sort of ridiculous luck like advantage off 360 clash or clash in general. Rinse and repeat for a few hours until I reach the point of just constant “fuck this” level. Basically the game needs to fucking work in order for me to have fun. Lag shenanigans can eat a dick and when I get fucked over by something stupid it wears on me. Like when satellite lasers fire off early. I imagine this is the only reason people even get killed by it anymore–aside from outside interference. The infinite tire / pole glitch.
I’m basically tired of the games bullshit, in short.
Playing something new and enjoying the experience and going on to possibly master those mechanics is 100 times more fun and satisfying than AR ever will be again, for me. I still play, but not like I used to. I probably won’t put this game down completely for a very long time.
A couple things as not to seem like a completely negative post.
Anti airs have i-frames. Anyone who doesn’t know, now you do. Every time you attack one and you get stunned or you don’t hit them out of it, here’s your reason. Thoroughly tested offline inside cage match. It’s pretty clear when it happens. Character specifics I’m unsure of but I can say for certain the following characters do:
Max
Jack
Nikolai
Zero
Bayonetta
Rins
Other characters haven’t been tested against but I’m betting everyone who has a traditional anti air has them. I’ve also been messing around with Sprinter given the discussion and haven’t found anything notable aside from some dive characters air LKW cooldown actually finishing in the air. Needs investigation.
When you’re on fire in stages like Coliseum and Foundry if you jump at the right time–you can attack your opponent despite the elements.
EX: Someone trying to suicide inside the fire in coliseum, wait until they are fairly low health and mash jump to try and get an attack off. Should work with non-fire characters but I’ve never actually done it without a fire character that I can recall. I was usually baron or douglas when it worked.
^I have done that both with Bull and Jack, it might have been lag but if you mash LKW you can do it.
I still have fun with anarchy reigns despite most of my friends and other EU bros dropping it for other games, without sounding like a cunt here I think I get it a bit worse than other people, theres a large american base, theres a large Jap base but there are virtually no EUs still playing, and when they do they are either new and drop the game or there inactive, because I never see them.
It also doesn’t help that my internet cuts out every now and again, meaning I drop a CPU or what ever into a game. That sucks. But like Weegee said, I can’t get that mad at the game because its so ridiculous, and every time I think I have seen it all something crops up that almost kills me, whether it be a small thing like the other day when I stunned someone with a thrown barrel or something completely retarded like in death ball when the ball kept magically appearing in my hand and then allowing everyone to take about 5 super star shots in a row.
Also beta, what time is the stream? I will see if I can get on.
Before I hit the sheets, I want to thank all of you in here that tuned in to my stream, spread the word, played online with me, and donated. I hit my goal ($1000) about 10 minutes ago! Check the LINK.
You guys are fucking awesome, don’t let anyone tell you any different.
@Rampage, I have no words. If you ever plan to visit the states for Evo, let me know. All your drinks for Evo weekend will be on me. Of course, I owe each and every one of you that helped me reach this goal more than a couple of drinks, too
I ran the stream for 38 hours straight. I’m like a zombie right now, but it was more than worth it putting on a good show for you guys. For those of you that missed out on what you wanted to see, I’m going to be streaming every weekend for the rest of November, so tune in. Musaad is priority #1 since a lot of people who wanted to see him weren’t able to last night.
A lot of kids will be taken care of this season thanks to you guys. Bro fists all around!
copypasta-ing in threads that our donors frequent.
$50 in drinks would translate to… counts on fingers o_o
Looks like somebody’s going to Evo! =P
50 bucks worth of alcohol in Vegas, though?

Hope they’re potent.
In other news, I moved like 2 monthes ago. No longer have a PS3 and I miss this game terribly.
I’m glad it was a success.
Some more tidbits of information people don’t know about.
Zero does more damage with his air weaks than most characters who don’t have dive kicks(doesn’t matter because they can’t use them inside an active juggle without grounding an opponent). All of the light characters do 100 points of damage, medium characters do 150 points of damage, Garuda matches zero’s 200 points of damage and Douglas does 190 for some weird reason.
I never thought of relating point accumulation to actual damage output but it matches up, and makes sense. Let’s take a look at Jack.
Jack
aLKW= 400 a piece or 1600 total
LKWx4 = 2500
Ground HKW cinematic = 2600 / Whiffed cinematic = 2000
Charge 1 / 2 = 1600 (1) / 2800 cinematic (2) / 2000 Whiffed cinematic
aHKW cinematic = 2300 / 1600 Whiffed cinematic
Jack is prone to cutscene damage glitching so his aHKW / Ground HKW don’t do proper damage in lag, either.
Dive attack data
Ai Rin’s aLKW = 2000
Feis dive = 1400
Rin Rin’s dive x2= 2080 2 METER but does more than ai rin, LOLOLOLOL.
Gargoyles dive = 1200
barons dive = 1300
Douglas’ dive = 1600
Oinkies swipe = 1600
Max’s dive = 1000 (lololol)
This was before I was really kinda done screwing around with anarchy, I’ve just had this post written for about a few weeks. I guess I’ll post it Light characters have just under 5000 points of HP at Lv1, I couldn’t figure out how much exactly because it’d need some precise testing but, yeah.
Wanna play again soon. Who down for a session sometime this weekend?
It seems like the community has just deemed Saturday evenings as the official “check this dead ass game” night without anyone saying anything. It’s the most frequently revived night for the scene, though if you’re on at the right time you can get around that.
Yo dawg I herd you guys like moveset data so I dissected some movesets. Will be updating the guide once its finished. To whos benefit? I have no idea. The random people down the road who come across this game and want to learn it more in-depth.
