all depends on regions I think, where you from Pterodactyl?
I’m in Michigan but I ordered from Japan, so my region is listed as Japan I think, though I get lobbies full of all kinds.
One thing is for sure, always search for games using Custom game > Any, quick match will almost always make you create a match instead if finding you one.
And get into the loop of the regulars, most will send you invites if you’re online, and some even if you aren’t.
If you’re still around:
Advice wise, you’re best off reading through pages 100+ upward and checking out my work with the help of some community regulars in the paste-bin. Read what you can, asking someone to read the whole thing is pretty silly. I’d recommend the item, map, RTE, and general game play tips sections to start and then checking out a character section if you want to learn a specific char more in-depth.
The game is less about actual skill and input and more about learning how everything works and how to take advantage of any given situation.
It’s almost never completely dead, it’s hard getting perspective because of the way the online is set up. There are still around 15-20 regulars and then 10-15 more people who play once in a while. Doesn’t seem like much but when most of the time 4v4 modes are the norm it doesn’t usually take long to get a match on the right night. If you can’t find anything it’s usually because there is an active lobby already with no room. It sucks, there’s no “viewable active lobby” system and the only way to tell is try and add as many of the people who play on a regular basis.
So while my internet was out I decided to play simulation and screw around with a few not-very used abilities.
Something I noticed about Hitman, it has NO effect on executioner mutants. Still trying to figure out what this boosts EXACTLY. is it only human NPC’s (killseekers)? Needs more testing. I thought it’d be all NPC, so mutants, kraken, etc etc. Mutants confirmed for no boost though. Maybe this ability is broken?
Herculean Effort is actually a considerable boost in speed (I knew it boosted speed but you don’t really notice how much it actually does until you look for it, it’s almost double walk speed), stacked with rampages speed boost you basically achieve a walking “run” state. I’d shit my pants if someone that fast was walking up on me with rampage activated + a tire. Unless you saw it coming you’re getting melee tire’d.
Ran mugger for a bit too, with no special results. Couldn’t even get any stuns (probably due to offline + no lag, lol)
Also, for anyone that doesn’t know.
Landmass Reconfiguration only happens with cutscenes on all or default, this is why we never see it. Tested it multiple times offline and a few times online. I find this event pretty enjoyable because it changes the two best levels and since cutscenes are usually set to “none” we barely ever get to enjoy the variations.
Can you activate rampage while holding a tire?
No. You can’t activate rampage while carrying anything. But you can rampage when stunned, caught in tires or a pole, and while being juggled. You can’t activate it while knocked down, frozen, electrocuted, or on fire/poisoned. For poison is when mutants “Fart” or a level 3 Oinkie/Zero/Bayonetta poisons you. You can still activate rampage during the poison gas event.
i heard this before, but to reiterate Cage Match Enthusiast will not up the chances of receiving the cage match item, correct?
It… I have no fucking idea to be honest.
The other item abilities definitely increase the chance so, perhaps some simulator testing is in order.
So found something new with mugger, or new to me. Nobody uses this, ever. I ran it on baron for a while and if you manage to get a guard break on someone–it counts as a stun and you get their items. Pretty cool. This basically requires being good at the game / blind luck to make use out of though.
Edit: Makes me wonder if tire / poling someone would steal their item since that is an identical “mash state”, just a forced one. How baller would it be if tires + mugger stole items? I’d start maining that shit and be such a dick. Might have to test it tomorrow :x
Imagine if someone mained Mugger+tire+Barron+Lag, unavoidable insta kills that also steals your items? Scum bag of the year.
Edit: Just realized how dumb this post was, if you get an insta kill your going to get there items anyway. Herp derp.
Baron + Lag is scum bag enough.
Trust me.
Oh trust me I found out when I went over on PS3 and played against your lovely Jap players.
Also if anyone is interested, I uploaded three anarchy reigns videos the other day
(Part one)
(Part two)
(Part three)
Sorry about the quality, I was thinking of getting a HD capcard at some point but decided against it because I didnt think I would use it that much, that said today my mate showed me a cheap one which records directly to a flash drive which looked pretty cool.
aldalome found a way for certain characters to go directly into the following series of their ground weak killer weapon chain after 1 or 2 air weak killer weapon attacks (it’s not combo-able, but i’d thought i’d share anyway since i thought it was nice that something new could be found this late). you do the air heavy killer weapon glitch & before you hit the ground, hold killer weapon & press light attack. characters who can do this are jack, nikolai, zero, garuda, & bayo.
Huh. Good find.
This lets you skip the first two ground KW strings on those characters and go straight into the 3rd+4th hits. Interesting.
1 air LKW for Ground LKWx3
2 for Ground LKWx2 (last bits of the string too, the launcher and the final hit)
I’m confused why it doesn’t work with Mathilda and Leo though. This might actually be a useful tech for Garuda, other characters not so much.
What the fuck.
Never before have I seen a game be broken in so many awesome and amazing ways.
Your icon fits your reaction pretty well. xD
Pretty strange, might actually catch a few peoples guards but thats it.
PS3 still going strong guys? Xbox is pretty dead at the moment might have to jump onto PS3 again.
PS3 side has definitely taken a big hit since GTA V.
Weekends are still pretty active from what I hear though and our resident streamer still plays pretty often. Along with a few other people that seem to be on daily. It basically boils down to 6-7 regulars in any given big lobby with a few drop-ins drop-outs who never seem to stick around for long.
While I’m here. New find with oinkie.
This seems specific to him because he’s the only one with a running KW attack. Anyways, Hold KW to run, air HKW and then mash triangle on the recovery frames, you get an immediate HKW dash. Pretty cool–also combos against a wall if you line it up properly with the enemy.
Shout-outs to crash test weegee.
- If anyone still does XB360, find Dollar Yen SRK. I’d like to get in on this!
Figured out what Hitman does.
Initial point steal ability like I thought months ago, can’t remember who veered me in the direction of NPC bonuses but I finally got around to testing it. It isn’t NPC bonuses, or item bonuses, or basic player point bonuses. It’s actually a point steal.
So when you kill someone with points, there an automatic 20% steal without the ability, with the ability its a 30% steal. I tried it out on a CPU with 105k and I stole something like 35,390. I’d say it was another situational but potentially useful ability in point modes. Kinda late to be figuring some more small shit out but messing with the game is the only thing I find fun anymore.
