For the longest time, I didn’t like how it seemed that some characters had to share a theme with someone else. I’m like… there are so many songs, so there has to be something for people like Mathilda and Ai Rin that are never seen separately from Baron and Fei Rin respectively in Campaign. But, I feel that Durga and Garuda actually do deserve to share the theme “Play My Ass Off” after mulling it over some.
While Gargoyles were mass-produced in the story, Garuda was a human reformed into a customized Gargoyle, a one-of-a-kind “clone.” And some of the lyrics in “Play My Ass Off” twists this around, like “I’m original, you kinda sloppy” or “You wanna be me, you try to copy.” As if Garuda has this ego that, while he’s the “clone,” he believes that he’s the original and is better than Gargoyle(s) in every way. Like a Metal Sonic expy.
The song also reflects Durga, of course. Take his self-aggrandizing quotes like “I HAVE THE POWERS OF A GOD!” and “I AM INVINCIBLE!” and the cocky, ego-inflated nature of the song; matches up to a “T.” Then, I consider how the both of them are established as a tight-nit mercenary duo, and I’m more accepting of them sharing the same theme song. And for the folks who didn’t catch this, rearrange the letters in “Garuda,” you get “Durgaa.” …I’M DONE. xD
You know, I thought about the same thing for a while myself. It actually makes a great deal of sense for “PMAO” to belong to both Durga and Garuda. Though it’s worth noting how “We All Soldiers” has lyrics highlighting robots that were once human as well.
It can definitely work both ways, depending on individual preference.

also haven’t been playing anarchy as much lately anyway, xillia is coming out tuesday and I’ll be on that the majority of the time. That said. I’m getting on again tonight and going to destroy universes.

Actually did two LV50 salvadors, one to 61 and a Lv50 assassin. Started a soldier and siren, never got far. Krieg was the melee character I always wanted to be honest and getting him this late, plus another 10$, AND while I’m burnt out on BL2? Just saddens me. I bought the season pass but if they are doing another season, I’m going to wait for the ultimate BL2 edition to play dragons keep + krieg + whatever else they decide to release.
Anyway, I see the Dragon’s Crown hype, but I want Tales of Xillia more.

I still get on often. But yeah. It’s slowing down a lot sadly. I can’t afford a lot of the newer games so I guess I’ll have to find other stuff to play D:
I wish we could revive the online somehow. Maybe if people made an actual effort to not abuse glitches/glitch combos that make new players either A.) stop playing the game or B.) start glitching themselves and ruining the community.
If you really think KW glitch is the worst this game has to offer? You A) Haven’t seen how bullshit Zero can be and B) Don’t know the Bayo matchup. It’s not hard to learn, buddy.
It’s a shame that people get so upset at this game. The community isn’t deteriorating because of the glitches and bugs. It’s the salt. “Glitches” like twitch cancel and AAc help mediocre characters stand a chance. Sadly, it makes already OP characters even better, but it still makes the game more interesting to see what kind of tech you can find.
Oh Boy… Kw glitch is soo baaad omg my health. How bout that thing that helps her get away with it… Yknow the internet connection. Seriously if you have a bad connection and you rising attack? You can get away with it.
Don’t get mad at glitches and tech stuff, they just help characters not be boring with the same shit and get the job done quicker. Nothing to complain about (cept Baron and Zero one shots).

Fix your god damn connections if you’re playing this game. That is the number one problem when it comes to playing Anarchy Reigns online. If you’re connection is bad, don’t play!
You think that the glitches make the gamer more “interesting”? Negro what? The game is interesting without the kw glitch. Every character who can do the KW glitch WILL use the KW glitch. Especially Bayonettas. The whole “i don’t wanna see people do the same shit all the time” is fucking invalid because they’ll only use the easiest shit that will give them the most reward. I will agree with you on the lag though. There is no way to filter foreigners from joining public matches, nor is there a kick button to get them out.
@DeeZee Yes, I seriously think the Killer Weapon glitch is the number one problem with the game right now. At first, it was turtling with guard/evade master. Then it was the infinite dodging glitch. But neither of those glitches dominated the metagame and ruined the community as much as the KW glitch. You get a FREE instant heavy killer weapon, guaranteed damage with most characters who can use it, and it leads into even more damage with characters like Bayonetta, because her falling hkw causes a fucking knockdown state. And it’s all over. Zero isn’t even relevant in this discussion. He can chain double hkw on the ground, and can also do the glitch, but the double HKW is easily avoidable, and his falling hkw glitch does not do nearly as much damage as Bayos. And the Bayo matchup doesn’t mean jack shit if she can constantly jump in with the glitch and get guaranteed kills. Why bother learning the legitimate ways to combat her if all of her players use fraudulent bullshit? I’ve never seen you play any characters other than Bayonetta, and you are always using the goddamn glitch. Have you really disillusioned yourself into thinking she’s not a good character, without it?
@Munoz, the netcode of this game is garbage, but it doesn’t make the game unplayable. No, the thing that makes the game unplayable is the playerbase rampant abusing glitches and broken abilities. And seriously, if EVERYONE is laggy to you, maybe YOU’RE the one with horseshit internet.
