Platinum* Games new game. Anarchy Reigns

I think it’s a pretty sad day when I can claim that I’m probably like, in the top 5 Douglas mains I know… My inputs are all over the place once I’m out of practice mode and I get most of my damage from either being unorthodox or just plain DAing. I have my moments though.
On a side note, I seem to be expanding out a bit into messing around with Max/Durga/Garuda, mostly for emblems, but it’s pretty fun regardless now that I have something to use for reference.

I used to be able to say that about Oinkie, but he’s actually starting to become more prominent, and the people playing him are all good.

I’m still a great Oinkie player though.

I never see Oinkie players but then again I don’t play random games very often anymore.

Before I go any further with more additions to my guide, I kind of want to gauge reactions out of people. I’ll post altambra central square’s basic write-up. Tell me what you guys think. If you think its shit, well good because I do too and I feel like doing this for every level won’t really add anything. It was an idea, so here we go. With the goal of “Ultimate Multiplayer Guide” in mind, I may have no choice though.

=======================
Altambra Central Square

This is one of two city stages available to play in Anarchy Reigns. It’s
actually fairly large and has a lot going for it. There are lot’s of good
battle-areas to take advantage of and not many places to camp / escape if
the need arises. They do exist, but we’ll get to that a bit later. The lower
section of the stage features three ruined buildings, two of have accessible
roof-tops for gameplay. There’s a fan-lift for one of the roofs and a stair
case + alternate path combination for the other rooftop. This path is pretty
important because it leads to the top of the skyscraper, which I will dub
"mini-heliport". It’s not recommended fighting large / extended battles on top
of this roof. You will get knocked off and some characters have much better
options to throw themselves at a distance into the air and escape more
efficiently. Use for traversing purposes / stalling if need be. There’s a
bridge that can be knocked down on the opposite roof-tops if you want to
create a new path immediately–bring a fire barrel or tire to throw at it.
Some characters can also easily get across. There’s also a lift in the
bottom section of the level leading up to the upper section–into the main
killing floor.

The upper half of the level features a partially ruined underground subway
and a HUGE killing floor on the farside of the map. Inbetween, there are two
lifts that lead up to more sky-scraper rooftops. There’s a drop off to the
lower section opposite the two lifts leading upward. The rest is flat
land geometry for maximum anarchy.

Basic Strategy

There are lots of good areas in this stage to take advantage of. The lower
portion of the stage can be a pretty good all-out-brawl fighting ground.
There aren’t many environmental items to get in the way and the stage geometry
will very rarely get in the way of anything you are bound to do. There are a
few spots down here that you should be aware of though. The fan-lift can be
used to camp and regain HP rather easily. Unless you have a team waiting for
them to shoot up you won’t be able to do anything about this. Best move on
and re-group. There’s also the dreaded stair-case while innocent in nature can
actually let your opponent get a MASSIVE head-start to escape and stall for
back-up. The mini heliport is also an escape haven, if someone gets away–
prepare for them to jump back down to the ground immediately to stall for
time and regain HP. There’s ONE tire in the bottom half of the level.

The upper half of the stage features one of the nastiest camping spots in the
game. The double lift section can be camped on endlessly to completely avoid
anyone that might be after you. The bottom portion of the upper half is also
pretty solid ground to fight on. There are two poles and a car that spawns
here so watch out for them during combat.

When you’re in something like a TDM, try and avoid heavy combat near the lift
sections to minimize the chances of your enemy getting to one and completely
nullifying the work you just did.

Always stick with your team, in a level like this with not a lot of places to
fall back on when you get ambushed–you need to be aware of your surroundings
constantly–That said. They do exist, like I detailed. Just be cautious.
Getting gang-banged is practically an AR-staple and it’s not always fun.
Leading you to lash out at your team. “WHERE WERE YOU GUYS?” I’ve heard that
one many times. Everyone needs to make an effort to stick with each-other. Not
just one person or two people. EVERYONE.

Taunting right before you fall off the rooftop usually helps you recover quicker (with most characters, depends on taunt length) and saves you from going into the special dive you go into after long falls. This is handy for when you’re trying to escape/chase someone down and is quite handy on this map. Otherwise you seems to have pretty much everything covered.

Stage strategy? I like this idea! Good writeup Fear!

Cthulu spawns too much.

Whats all this new fangled stuff people found?

Are there private games popping off or something because I never really see any of you guys online.

Real talk, the end of the Anarchy is approaching, with these new consoles and game coming out towards the end of the year.

Though it won’t be an immediate halt, the already dwindling community will be loss even more people and SEGa probably won’t want to spend the money keeping the serves up on a last-gen game that didn’t sell as well as they’d hoped. I want to say they’re smart enough to support this games servers for a while even after next gen releases because this game is like 90% online gameplay and 10% ridiculous story mode, but seeing as how they’ve handled and have been handling this game I wouldn’t put it past them.

I play small modes if friends aren’t online, cage, deathmatch and tag deathmatch. I can’t speak for everyone else but I imagine they are also doing their own thing. Public games with a team of complete strangers lost its “luster” for me.

4 more big-mode stages to write up. This process is kinda grueling :frowning:

Haven’t even started on the ability, random trigger events and item descriptions / uses yet… why couldn’t I have just done a combo list X_X

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Heh. Wonder what set that off. Hmmm… OH I KNOW.

-_-

Why, community, why.

I knew the game made people salty. But this is just ridiculous. As much as I love putting those guys in their place, I hate dealing with them.

Good one match of BR Deezee and Munoz.

Too bad Aldalome(or however you spell it) left, he hosts most of the BR lobbies nowadays, and the guy who got left with host duty left as well with a nearly full room.

I was the purple Baron, came in second(A.K.A. honorary first when in a room with Deezee if he’s using Bayo), Clievile.

Oh /you’re/ Clievile! You’re that Oinkie that pisses me off sometimes lol XD! Good game!

Hey Fear, I can do an item description for you if you want.

lol I love how they complain about everybody, and then they just list Pandaking and cant say shit about him XD. I think they’ve caught a bit of xbox fever over there.

That’d be cool razor. Just uhh, write them out, what each of them do, like how grenades and missiles light you on fire, how to take full advantage of super-charged traps, sniper rifle tips etc. Much appreciated. I leave it in your hands, whenever you get time bro.

A guide on super-charged traps would be godlike. I groan everytime I get one of those. They’re so useless sometimes

Super charged traps are used with friends since they can help lower their health with kw attacks(less u in br then wait until health is low, use one then go for kw or grab). They come out of it faster when you use both of em so use one, do your thing, then use the next one rinse and repeat.
