I didn’t recognise their names but they seemed to know me, since they closed the room when I joined the first time. Got put into that room again and then I just got rushed the following game. I dunno, maybe some people that I roughed up back in the day*. I still came third though. I was funny because in the next game I somehow managed to get the first kill and take the lead (I’m using Jack and it’s the colosseum), then I jumped off the platform and kept jumping around in the fire pit so they couldn’t kill me. The weren’t using any fire characters so they couldn’t do anything to get me. Then they left the game -_-

I hope it’ll bring in a few regulars at least, e’ryone gotta be nice to the new guys, this game was rough getting in from the start but now you’ve gotta have nerves of steel to even stand a chance.
Finally, been wanting to try Mad Survival since Japanese release.
Cage match is just full of bitches, every time I join a room they back out and restart it, and I set my search to only cage match just to force them to keep restarting their shit until they give in and accept their ass whooping.
I play a lot of Cage nowadays because I’m tired of TDM and if any mode is full of bitches, it’s that one, lol.
I figure low levels have more balls than most people who have been playing, low levels stay and take their god damn beatings, they don’t care. People you see often on the other hand BECAUSE we’re such a small community–don’t like being embarrassed.
At least that’s what I gather from it.
On that subject, I cage’d a japanese baron last night. I knew I shouldn’t have. I regretted it, I at least wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but it was the typical bullcrap. it’s like they’ve got the art of lag-play down to a science.
Hrm, I’ve been lurking around this particular forum for a good while, but I decided to actually make an account to speak up about something.
I was bummed out skimming through here and finding out that Boo lost interest in the game. I really liked his AR vidjas and the tutorials he was doing. Then, I figure that I could try doing a tutorial, particularly of the twitch cancel. Maybe I could do more if this thing goes over well, I dunno. But, I feel it’s something that could help out a little.
Bull has air light, KW light and dash heavy. That’s it. Without lean extender this char can’t do shit to anyone but rack up kills with KWL.
And what’s hilarious is with the way stuns and trades work using KWlight at all is a huge fucking risk. He has a LOT of points within it where he can get stunned out since he’s attacking 3 times in a row with constant active frames.
I finished it~ Though after watching Shizzlee’s stream last night, I think I saw somebody do TC out of Zero’s flying kick, so I may be way off in regards to being unable to cancel out of the string enders that keep your opponent close to you. But, other than that, hope this tutorial was at least fairly accurate. ^_^;
his shift heavy? Yeah, I did it as one of his loops in the vids. It’s his best TC for sure (probably one of the best as his shift heavy both covers a lot of distance (stop Bastard Evaders) and the heavy’s hitbox lasts a good amount of time), but nowhere near on Durga’s level.
Also yay for someone talking smart about the game in a tut.

I haven’t played much lately, is there some kind of new Bayo glitch/air HKW going on? I swear I saw someone doing air WKW->(air HKW *2)… I saw it a couple of times from a player on PS3 named something like nghghgh or some shit like that.

@ guillotine, that sounds like some pretty big lag, but sometimes what happens is, because of all the lingering hitboxes on HKW’s if you go to punch it, even if its gone, the animation will flash again and do damage, it’s basically still there, but the game just makes it disappear. Kind of lazy, the same thing happens with durgas shift heavy which is why it’s so frustratingly hard to punish. Also seen it on zero’s ground HKW, two animations will flash. Basically only happens in a lot of lag.
Guy released videos on the twitch cancelling stuff before on his channel but didn’t really go into detail like Tiger did. Good stuff nonetheless, keep the content coming!
Just got done with a few cage matches against a JAPANESE rin who I guess thought I was pretty funny until I picked douglas, and punished everything he did with dash attack.
I went first with oinkie and I never thought it possible to time someone out in cage match, but it is, with the infinite KW dodging you are literally invincible and you have no hope of ever doing anything against them. Timed out my oinkie every round despite it being extremely close. I’ll take that as “I’m afraid of you and I have no balls” compliment.
So the 2nd round I go douglas and put my guard up, dash attack every time he does something with an opening. 3-2 goes to me. Tried his usual bullshit no less, 80% ai rin combos on a DOUGLAS, no joke.
The bad thing is I know there were openings, but there is some serious delay from what he is doing and what I was ready to do, so they basically don’t exist in lag, dougies priority on his DA is just insane.
Anyways, thought I’d share. One more thing, he remade the room 4 times before he let me stay. What is he doing in cage anyway, preying on newbies? Frickin japanese players, man. Weird.
