Platinum* Games new game. Anarchy Reigns

Having a way to combo into his KW out of his delay which is incredibly fast and deceptive is something that can be put to good use, I can do it pretty consistently. I know how to play oinkie, he’s all about that ground game, whittle them down, he plays almost exactly like jack only with better normals + better KW lights.<br><br>1v1 anyway<br><br>In teams, he is a massive team players, wait for someone to get smacked by a jab, heavy them for half their life. I mostly stick with power leveler+lean extender though, never really gave Killjoy much of a chance. I recognize it’s power though. I love being able to take ridiculous amounts of damage and laugh at people at Lv3 :x<br><br>Also very good post there, something everyone should read before you start this game.<br>

Welp, I guess you do got it.<div><br></div><div>I don’t think Jack is like Oinkie though.</div><div><br></div><div>Jack cant pressure with his delayed light like Oinkie can, since Oinkie can loop out of his delayed light and his delayed light has a lot of range and good tracking not to mention how good the heavy follow is at shattering guard.<br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>It’s more of whittle them down while trying to bait them into doing a 360 or heavy attack, then punishing them with either a KWH or a high damage juggle combo in KWLx3. In Cage match I mean.</div><div><br></div><div>If anything the most accurate comparison I can make is he plays like a hybrid of Durga and Bull. High damage all around, unorthodox rising H, good at shattering guard, 60% damage(or more, depending) one move punishes, great at stealing kills, good charged KWH, very mobile, good range, good KWL chain, good j.KWH, great anchor on teams, good combos, good pressure. His jumping KWL is basically just a better version of Bulls, its so damn good, especially at finishing people off or stealing kills.</div><div><br></div><div><div>His running KWH tackle is one of the most useful and satisfying moves to land as well.</div></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>That said our opinions on him are based on how we play him, so I guess it’s all opinon.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>He’s comically underused though, even though he’s so good.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

Definitely, his ground loop is basically a free 360. As long as you are good at spotting them in the midst of combat he is probably one of the most powerful characters. <br>

Thanks a lot, I’ll be sure to read up on it Pterodactyl.

<br><div>Once you figure out his combos(and his are really fun and kind of long depending) his air KWL(only 1, if you do it twice it won’t work) combos into his air KWH making it a great combo ender. </div>

That’s good info about Durga. I actually do this: Heavy, Rising Heavy, air Weak, air KWL x2, delayed Descending Heavy (I don’t mash Heavy or it doesn’t work, I have to do it near the ground). <br>But I’m gonna try as you said, one air KWL and KWH.<br>

Well, the problem with delaying attacks is that good player will dodge out of the way.<div><br></div><div>And you waste meter if you do two air KWL, the damage isn’t worth it, you’re better off saving it for another combo or using it as a KWL poke.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Really there is no good reason to use air KWLx2 unless you just want to fuck around with someone you’re sweeping and don’t care about meter management, which is something I do against scrubs in cage match.</div>

So many rage quitters lately. At least 2 of the opposite team out of maybe 80% of the TDM’s I played today left.<br><br>On the subject of durga, he’s got mad combos. Probably the most variety in the game TBQH. I stick with the basic:<br><br>Heavy -> AA -> Air W -> Air W -> Heavy -> AA -> Air W -> Air KWL -> Air KWH<br><br>If I’m feeling frisky, instead of AA’ing after the 2nd heavy I’ll : W (the double kick), W * Delayed W -> AA -> KWL -> KWH<br><br>I don’t play durga that much so my basic ground game is terrible but he has some of the most scary combos out there. I’ve noticed you can combo from his 3rd KW hit, I tried it in practice but I couldn’t do it. Too much lag on the end. Must’ve been doing something wrong because people were doing it online to me yesterday.<br><br>W W W -> Dash attack is amazing guard pressure and very hard to punish too since you end up so far away from them.<br><br>In other news, I fooled around with charge attacker most of the day and had some fun, it turns nikolais H*H into a hard knockdown which you can actually launch from.<br>

Bayonetta is only S tier if she hits you.<br>

Really weird glitch I just ran into.<br><br>Red team had 5 players. My team had 3 players.<br><br>Match resumed to play out as normal, with red team as 5 players. We only lost by two kills which I thought was hilarious >_><br>

Few people seem to know that you can AA after H, H(his flash kick) if you time it right, it’s kind of strict though and I wouldn’t use it unless i’m in a low/no lag cage match or I just feel like taking a risk for the sake of damage and style.

I did know that actually, it’s just a lot more strict. With lag and such I just don’t like taking risks, always sticking to the safe stuff.<br><br>I got someone with douglas’ 100% yesterday.<br><br>H -> AA -> Air W Air W -> H -> AA -> Air W Delayed KW -> Air W -> Delayed KW -> Air W -> Delayed KW  -> Air W -> Delayed KW -> W W -> Dash attack<br><br>It scales to hell and back but it will still finish everyone off if they are level 1 :D<br><br>Next up to land online is his air KWH -> KW dive -> KW dive, what a ridiculous combo. <br>

I just wanted to report that I think there is some lag-compensation for the host in this game, when I host it feels like I’m almost 0.5sec behind everyone in the game. Which I find strange since I feel like I’m ahead when I join some random game.<br>Am I the only one who feels like this?<div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>EDIT: Deleted gibberish of me being silly. Don’t mind me</div>

Iglo i know that feel.  Yesterday while I was playing tag match I did really well the first game (like 6-0 or something like that)  the next match both opposing players only went after me.  Ended up hurting them in the long run because my team mate would just go up behind them and kill them rofl.

Thanks once again for the guide Pterodactyl, however I’ve been playing Campaign a lot and I have a few questions.<div><br></div><div>- The game seems REALLY hard and I can’t handle like 3 mutants at one point without getting gangbopped.</div><div>- Do I really have to farm the “outerworld” to get to the main missions? </div><div>- It seems a bit repetitive with Max, any way to spice it up? </div><div><br></div><div>How do I deal with all the chopters and stuff coming at me? </div>

<div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>Torn Apart: Yeah, while it is really frustrating it is also flattering because they view you as a threat and that means you’re doing stuff right. I just did something I shouldn’t have with that post; venting my frustration on a public forum.</span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”><br></span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>NonSexualRice:</span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>Mutants - Killer Weapon attacks hitstun and cancel some of their animations and if you hit them enough with normal hard attacks the can be hitstunned. So learning their pattern, dodging and bombarding them with Killer Weapon attacks should work. I personally try to avoid them. Starting up a sidemission when Mutants spawn (when it gets dark) usually avoids them.</span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>Oh, and it gets dark after every 20th kill in the “overworld”.</span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”><br></span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>“Overworld” - Yes and no, you get points from sidemissions to help unlocking storymissions so you could farm the sidemissions. Chopters: If you’re close to them, they will fire a vulcan gun or use a chainsaw. Just block and dodge. If you are near a throwable item (tires, posts…) grab it and throw it at the helicopter. The best tactic is to get as far away to the chopper as possible and it will fire a missile. Wait till the missile is near you and press the Grab button. You will grab the missile, then press the Lock-on button and throw it back to the chopper. When the chopper drops to the ground damaged, press the Grab button near it to control it.<br><br>Tip: In multiplayer modes, when a player fires a missile at you with the rocket launcher, you can also throw it back…<br>

I’ve been having alot of fun with Jack lately. I’m starting to get pretty decent with him.

<p>So I was thinking, would it be possible to be vocal enough to get Sega to finance a patch for Anarchy Reigns? Is there something going on already? Would you guys be interested in compiling a community patch list of some sort? Dark Souls had something like this going on, and most of the ideas proposed were addressed. Yeah I know it’s a far more successful game.</p><p>…I know it’s unlikely, but I feel like doing something for AR. I really think I found my Ideal Game, only it’s born under a bad sign. </p>

Agreed it’s better to try it regardless of the odds. I’ll sign the petition no questions asked as long as I agree with the changes. <br>
