Good god, I am dying right now. I repped you before but this is even funnier…goddamn shenanigan beam is too strong in this thread.
if someone can play a convincing otacon, let’s skype-record this
play it on the next aism
I think the biggest challenge would be trying to act this all out without cracking up in the middle of it.
Fuck an audio recording
Act this shit out irl
And put it on YT
“Guilty Gear? Emotiongear? How many Gears are there!?”
Guilty EmotionGear.
Funny thing is…the first thing I did when I read Spirit’s dialogue was read it out loud. I didn’t even really find it funny so much as I found it deep and something that would work well with someone who had a talent with voices. I was too busy going “wow that shit is good” to even really laugh. Hearing someone do that would definitely make me laugh.
Lemme work on my octacon and ill join in. I can get the pitch but not the nuiance
Ive never been to a showdown and with shit like this. I never will.
Well, its written exactly how Otacon would’ve said it so that’s I guess what made it really funny to me since I’ve been playing alot of MGS recently. It’s probably funnier to people who are MGS fans but anyone else can still find it a little funny. Even the “displeasurable grunt” was right on.
Anyone have the the post to the tournament in question? When was it, what were the prizes, sbo qualification blah blah?
Derek Daniels
From what I understand, the rules and everything else was deleted by Emotiongear shortly after the tournament started. But I could be way out to lunch.
Damn son, your smart.
Well not really, anyone knows how I talk knows its me.
Oh well, don’t worry Zinac, I don’t mind if people know if it was me talking in that convo.
It’s possibly best if my name was in there, so in case something was twisted or something I said was taken out of context, they can say whats up.
And one more thing:
[13:22] PozerTheMonkey: but just note one thing…
[13:22] PozerTheMonkey: SOME of the info I put were theories
[13:23] PozerTheMonkey: or, its what we strongly believ
[13:23] PozerTheMonkey: believe*
But in general, you can say most of the info is real.
Read carefully, you can tell what are theories and what are not.
Oh SillyJuice. If Kensou were good enough to be a mid-boss he would have won the tournament to get his spot
lolz
The only people who actually come forward and defend Emogear are his lapdogs. It’s too bad we’re not dumb enough to be fooled by his lies and see right through his bullshit.
Touch.
I don’t understand how some of you guys can still support this guy and his business ventures after all that’s been said and done??
He keeps talking about sponsors to avoid blame. If sponsors compromise the integrity of these events, don’t have sponsors. Shit is simple.
That’s like asking why people still support George W. Bush.
Yeah…if this guy is rollin in it he should use his own money instead of sponsors. We’ve seen in the past how sponsors dick around event organizers and make them look bad in front of the community. Especially when the event organizers aren’t well endowed in the nuances of what the fighting game community needs. If Emogear truly understood or cared about the community, he would be doing a lot more than coming up with crap like “fighting games are dying because people like to win” to justify his nonsense. Yet…considering how shady this guy is his own money is basically dirty money. Evo so far has been able to get a good balance between sponsorship and still catering to the community. Emogear could do the same thing but obviously he’s not interested (even though he says so). He’s simply bending the rules way too much and it’s simply not what tourney goers are used to. Because he’s rollin in it though…it’s what they have to get used to according to him.
The problem is that in all it’s just video games (a very niche genre of them) and in all honesty…it’s just too easy for him to get away with shit like this. In the grand scheme of things how important is this? Fighting games are nothing like the NBA or MLB. They’re very slowly growing (or dying whichever way you look at it) and the only people that are really going to take offense to this matter are the small community of hot tempered fighting gamers on some website devoted to fighting games. Not to mention SBO staff just isn’t going to take the situation too seriously considering it’s overseas and if luck has it…they get sent home first round. They’ll probably just end up like Pyrolee’s 3S team did on the live SBO feed and get cut off by the bald anchor in the glasses. Which you can just assume they lost when that happened.
No offense Pyro’s team obviously. It’s hard enough work to get to SBO in the first place. Well…minus select people in certain qualifying events.
