Obvious god tier is obvious. Beef tenderloin and bearnaise sauce. Now, unlike pepperoni, extra cheese and what not, you cannot just spam this shit all over your pizza and still do alright, bearnaise has mad recovery if you whiff, it makes mad stains that wont come off easy. Still, once you get your game going, it’s game over. Only bad matchup is vs garlic, garlic has insane keepaway and zoning (friends, family, co-workers, etc, real easy to keep them from getting close after eating a garlic pizza). So, garlic is obvious a runner-up for second place. Put them all together, and your pizza is unstoppable.

It’s not practical to tier toppings, It’s the combination of toppings and topping synergy that makes top tiered pizza. Pineapple and spinach might be considered low-tiered to some, but a good pineapple or spinach assist can create a topping medley with potential to body a lot of boring ass drab cheese or pepperoni pizza any day.
Pineapple is bringing sweetness and acid to the party, but I can get those assists from honey in the dough, and a sprinkle of sherry vinegar on a pie with superior toppings.

Olive and pineapple are great on a pizza together, great combination of sweet to offset the olive and pepperoni.
My top tier choice I would have to say is mushroom. Any pizza tastes s million times better to me with mushrooms.
Mushrooms are one of the foods higher in glutamates. Glutamates trigger the 5th taste (what people call umami) which is best described as unctuous.
