So I’ve been told, cuz I’ve seldom ventured into GD. The “no homo” part, that is. He’s confirmed the first part to me before. ST is just gay, period. At least, it feels that way some times. The rigid (no homo) nature of that game can be off putting. Though, the accidental balance that came out of the wild brokeness is sorta fun. Plus, you don’t have to be able to execute to play the game. So SFIV kids should not have a big learning curve. I mean, if you’ve only played SFIV, there’s no fucking way you can expect to pick up Marvel in a month. But ST? There’s hope.

I am surprised that Orange King and Pizza Brava were not on your list. On the topic of Pizza Brava, they used to accept coupons from any competitor. I knew a guy during undergrad who would call in orders with an imaginary $4 large two topping coupon, then claim to have forgotten the coupon when he went to pick it up. This happened roughly twice a week for a year or so.

zass was hella old and shit when you first met him. It’s not as though he’s gotten any older. I think there’s a limit on age once you hit that point. I should know, I’ve entered into ST age.
He has been trying out a mountain man look, though that might run its course before Saturday.

He had informed me of that. We’ve all got some history with the hardware in your shop. Pablo, Airthrow, and myself actually attended the arcade cab fire sale where PG got many of their cabs. Unfortunately for us, someone went in prior to the doors opening and snatched the good stuff. Still, it’s nice to see that it went to good use.
Actually, I didn’t get any of that stuff from Tacoma. I made a different deal a month or so prior to that sale and bought out one of the entire Silver Coin locations (something like 22 games), and the stuff left at the Tacoma sale was essentially all the stuff I passed on. Still some awesome deals to be had though, I showed up that day to see if I could pick off a couple of individual games (they had offered me a bulk deal before) but those other guys had already gone in and swept the place. Even out of the games I got from Silver Coin, the only ones that still remain in PG are the Marvel cab (which I totally re-did), Drummania (same), and a Police 911 that died after a month and is sitting in the back room now. The Neo-Geo cabinet came from that too but it had to be totally gutted and rebuilt with new monitor, control panel, PCB etc, so it’s not even really the same game anymore. All the other games from that buy either flopped hard (e.g. Sega GT) or just weren’t that great to begin with, so I sold them off.
But yeah, the vast majority of cabs and PCBs in the arcade are just my personal collection that I’ve gathered from all kinds of different places over the years.

Man, I have some history with those cabinets because those sat in Silverdale’s Silver Coin and I worked on those cabs for the time I worked there. I haven’t been to PG, but I’m assuming that the Marvel cab was in a Dynamo cab originally, and the Drummania was actually Percussion Freaks and had one of the cymbals perpetually broken forever? 
I don’t make it out to the International District enough, but it sure would be interesting to see those cabinets again.
