Hm, well… that av is actually a failed tag I just cropped. I don’t really know if I can make a whole tut around it (it’s basically just smudging, which I cover in another tutorial already) and renders. You can look over the .psd if you want, I guess.
is there a way to save a batch of images all at once while converting the format?
what i’m wanting to do is a faster and easyer way of saving those GG Slash sprites because .bmp is a large file size. it would save space to have them all as .gif format.
Question to Worthless but anyone who knows can answer.
How do you render a Sprite in GIMP without making it transparent?
What I’m doing is using the “Color To Alpha” tool and turning the White Background transparent. But then the Sprite becomes somewhat Transparent. I tried using different colors for the background but it still doesn’t keep it non transparent.
well, i figured it out myself, not for PS, but for PS Elements. it has a batch saving option. so does the program SnagIt. i just figured that part out today on accident. no more sprite packs over 12mb.
I’m a bit of a PS noob, so I just have a couple questions. My sincere apologies if these have been asked before.1. How do you put a still image over animation, once you already have the animation you want ? 2. How do you edit/delete pixels of said image that you wanted to splice in (IE excess black/gray around the image, how do I get rid of that) ? Also, I’m trying to make some premium sized avs so what is the exact file size limit now ?Good lookin’ in advance guys.
Sorry I didn’t answer this question sooner,i never popped in this thread much (not having PS and all :p)
Select contiguous regions (messing with the radius and threshold in some cases) and manual eraser work.
Also in regards to tuts in regards to the blur style and stuff,i think its great when people give it a shot.No problem in showing each other new tricks and such.
I’d also be more than happy to field any GIMP related questions(for all 3 people that are using here ) Although i’m still learning too
Hey, is there a definitive tutorial on using the pen tool to draw… whatever?
My avatar (aside from the glassy effect) is a result of just playing around with some shapes and mirroring the result vertically. I was thinking of upgrading with the same method.
I use Photoshop CS. And if this isn’t an “appropriate” question, I’ll delete it with apology.
Mostly it’ll come from practice, and learning how to shape each line you make. . .
Also for everyone else. . you may not know this but you can find video tutorials at: http://www.youtube.com/
There’s hundrends for alot of different effects. . .not just making sigs like grpahic sites either. . .
when i try to use the smudge and blur tools to blend effects, it seems to bog down my computer…whats the deal?? the clock comes up and I have to wait a good bit for even the slightest smudge usage…the thing is, even while i’m waiting i can open up windows media player and/or firefox etc. without any sort of hitches at all…is there anyway i can dedicate more memory/ram usage to my photoshop program?? as of right now i have 2 gigs of ram btw…most of the files i work in are 300 resolution too…but still, any sort of ways i can improve the performance without sacrificing my image resolution??
Smudge and Blur are both really hard on files especially at high res because it has to do so many calculations compared to most other things that photoshop does. You can however go into File Preferences and then depending on what version you’re using somewhat it should have all sorts of options for how much Memory Usage you want to allow Photoshop to use. Otherwise all I can think of is sacrificing your history, every time something goes into the history it takes some memory so lets say you’re trying different blending options for a layer at the end you’ll have like 7 “Blend Change” in your history. Go back to before them and do whatever the final decision was so those others get deleted. Maybe even save as .psd and reopen it before attempting to smudge/blur so it clears the history completely there’s just obvious consequences of not having any history.
in photoshop cs2 i accidently minimized my tool window so it is only a small adobe picture that when clicked on takes me to some website. how do I maximize it again?
