TBH I don’t see why we’d have it on one system, and not another.

I use an Xbox S controller.
It works on PC, Xbox, PS1/2, and PS3.
It doesn’t work on 360.

Big E, Eric, NEC Eric, has said he’s only using PS3’s from now on.

I don’t honestly think we should be having it on a 360, when 360 has no controller freedom.
PS3 has all the controller converters, you can even use GameCube controllers on it.

It makes easy for people who have PS2 sticks and such, which should be everyone.

If you can have it on both, have it on both.
It’s not really a problem for stick players, but people like me who can’t use their weapon of choice on a 360, it’s just like “GTFO”

Chris should know this too.
Demon Hyo is bias towards 360
Eric (who runs the three biggest Philly tournaments) is bias for PS3

I’d rather not have you guys split the community like this.
I’m not going to pay money to play without my controller.

BTW I did have a good time yesterday…good stuff.

Bottom line.
Your attendance numbers aren’t magically going to jump if you change to 360

All’s I know there was a good amount of people who said if it was on 360 they would come, that’s why I said you should try to have it on 360 next time lol.

Anyways…yea good stuff to the tournament directors and good turnout. Just make sure the ventilation is better next time and all will be good. Thanks to One for helping out with the brackets, he did a great job.

why would you want ps3 if you don’t even enter the tournament?

you can play on ps3 casual if you want like yesterday

I have ps3 and a copy of sf4

but most players are on xbox360 and xbl has better competition + online system + lag free

that’s why I switched to xbox360 spending extra $500 on the system and sticks

would you consider about getting a xbox360 controller and mod it ?

I know hubbsdocter has a xbox360 controller that is moded(d-pad)

I really don’t see why people supprot ps3 I do have ps3 but I barely use it

cuz it has many problems

if you want ps3 platform, you can go to the tourney that is held on ps3

but, like I said and many people want to have tourney on xbox360, which means more competition, we should go for xbox360

EDIT: yeah eric supports ps3 but his tourneys are not on every month

but, what we are trying to do now is having this tourney bi-weekly, so we can level up our philly sf4 sommunity as quick as possible

I’ll enter when I’m not scared of Blanka so much, or once my friends start helping me train, instead of hiding their real threats from me until it’s tournament time.

I’m honestly too poor to pay for this and get nothing.

We had two 360’s there, and two PS3’s.
Winterbrawl had the tournament run on both, I don’t see why this wasn’t run on both.

What problems?
Lag?
The tournament isn’t online.

The problems we had yesterday were all ID-10-T issues.
But that error happens on 360 too.
A common problem on both versions if there ever was one.
Sometimes it makes me think they should recall the game, but then I realize, that error occurs on every game, so it must be a system error, but it happens on every system, so…hmmm

I would have entered the tournament, if I didn’t have to pay for every single one of my friends to get in. One couldn’t let me take a humble way out, so now it’s come to the real reason.
They weren’t going to enter.
I’m not rich.
Chris and me, and them, all go way back, and he said “No, I’m not that nice” when it came to them getting in free+not entering.
So then I had to pay for everyone. My casuals were $20

Shows me who my real friends are.
I know none of them would ever pay for me to get in anywhere, but I can’t just be like "Screw you guys, I’m entering, go home."
I’m really disappointed in Chris though, I thought he was a good friend.
I was wrong. It wasn’t a good day yesterday, because I had to get screwed over by my friends. There’s no nice way out of that situation, because my community friends like One and Yoshi are like “Why didn’t you enter?” and I don’t want to blame my other friends, yet now you use “why would you want ps3 if you don’t even enter the tournament?” against me, I’ve just lost my temper, my friends don’t read here anyway.
It’s their fault I couldn’t enter.
I hope Chris reads this, and maybe realizes I had more faith in him, why did you let me down?

like I said, evo is once a year

and tourneys that are based on ps3 happens once a month or have a long term

if you seek for ps3 console tourney, go for it

I’m trying to level up all the philly players who mostly have xbox360s and sticks for it

that’s why i’m more to xbox360 than ps3

if you really consider about tourney and getting competition, you should pay for that

have your stick / controller duel modded

and go for both console touneys

I think (also demon. hyo thinks) there are more players who have xbox360 and stick

I saw some sticks yesterday that they were using for ps3 and those are not in good condition, in terms of for tournament use

I am sure there are bunch of xbox360 players who has mdcatz TE stick and I have two of them that I bring with me every time

also, I let people use my ps3 stick on that day, they didn’t even have their own stick

I think at least 6 people asked me for my stick

so what’s the point of having ps3 console, where you can borrow stick from many players if only it was on xbox360 tourney.

pimp, I don’t wanna assult you, but it seems like you are supporting ps3 because you have that special pad for ps3 only, and I don’t think that’s the reason we should go for ps3 only

cuz you can mod xbox360 controller’s D-pad easily

let’s not waste our time / effort

i’m sure the turn out would be much much better with xbox360 console tournament

it was a good 1st turrny 4 me even tho i lost in the 1st round vs russelle then got put out by murdock they were all good fights tho, wanted to stay for the top fights but cuz tricked me into leaving lol 1st its like “lets get something to eat” and then “let go to my house i dont wanna go back its hot in there” didint wanna leave my cuz so had to leave but ima join

I also had a Hori PS3 Stick that some players were using as well.

But I agree with One and D.hyo are saying…

If you really think about it, there are more people in philly that have an XBOX360 faster than a PS3.

I have both systems so it really doesn’t matter to me.

I don’t mind seeing the tourney on both systems and I think people should into dual modding sticks particularly for that game so it can be alot better and less complaints over what system is better or not.

I personal think that if it’s gonna be bi-weekly, it’s mainly going to be on xbox360 instead of PS3 overall. I don’t have nothing against people that have a ps3 but still, most of the people in philly have XBOX 360.

It was even said before the tourney began in the “Tournaments and Events” Section.

All of them have xbox360 stick, not counting my several friends who has xbox360 and didn’t come to this cuz they don’t have ps3 stick :smiley:

and… those friends of mine are a lot better than me( I can gurantee this)

Ps3 is the way to go, One you have 2 sticks and one is modded you took the time and the money to do it.

So maybe its time for other players to take the time and money and do the same.

Also maybe its time for you guys to start having 360 only tournaments and see how it go’s.
