The second way is to have xbox360 tourney, since we can gather more people on this console - more competition, more hardwares available(including sticks)
The third is to have ps3 only tourney, but this is ironic because there are simply more people on xbox360 with better equipments
The fourth suggestion is…
let this tourney (that chris runs) be ps3 only
and search for a new venue and have our own xbox360 tourney
(which I already know one good venue that we have to pay $200 for a day)
this works only if more than 20 people show up constantly
and I am willing to run this touney if someone is up for it and help me out
If someone can mod my PS2 to PS3 converter to be a PS2 to 360+PS3 converter, that’d be awesome.

There are more PS3 players who have sticks than 360 players who have sticks, because every fighting game has been on PS2, and people just got adapters to PS3.
Guilty Gear, Tekken, emulator ST for PSX…everyone has PS2 sticks.

no, the tourney should be stick to one console to prevent issue between players
(where one player prefers ps3 and one prefers xbox360, this is hard to deal with)
When we just look at the fact the amount of people who has ps3 stick, it is obvious that ps3 got that ownage.
but hey, we are talking about sf4 only tournament, and as me and you and other people from yesterday witnessed, there were a few people who brought there ps3 stick, where there were bunch of people saying they have xbox360 stick only and didn’t come to tourney

plz don’t say you can not afford xbox360 controller which goes for only $19 on ebay(wired one, not wireless)
Try making a pre-reg list to see how MANY people will 100% sure actually attend. Then one for anyone potentially interested, that should give you a rough idea for # of people attending :wonder:
This is not a preferable situation, as I am used to having to deal with terrible black and white button placement. It’s now second nature to me, and I dislike the 360 L1 and R1…however, I could adjust if it was to become my new controller for every system…however, that won’t happen, as it’s a 360 controller, which will only work on 360 and PC.
I’d much rather get the PS3 converter to have two USB’s, one going to 360, and one going to PS3, like other people have on their sticks…rarely.

This better competition on 360 is an illusion, the good players play on both systems, and we both know that.
Maybe there’s bigger competition specifically on the 360, but the better competition play on whatever console is available wherever, as long as they can get a controller they like for that system.
This has never been questioned to my knowledge, as far as worthwhile competition went.
And that’s another reason the tournament should be both systems.
I don’t care what system I play on, as long as I can use my controller. This has never been an issue until 360, which locks out all 1st party controller support except for their own.
As you may now know deep down, having it on both systems gets both system owners there, to the tournament, since hosting a tournament is all about $$, and not player disputes.
Who cares if every few games, one wants 360.
But TBH that’s one reason Eric put everything to PS3 , because just about every controller/stick works for a PS3.
I’d also like you to help me out, and get me in touch with someone who can mod my PS3 converter. That’d be real cool.

and they are all on xbox360? and they gave up this tourney because they don’t have ps3 stick? did you check out the thread that people were saying they only have xbox360 stick? and some of them have TE stick that everyone prefers to use? and DID YOU SEE HOW MANY PS3 STICKS WERE THERE(USABLE ON TOURNEY)? I counted and it was 3 include mine, and one of them were really bad for tournament use(sorry for the owner but the rh button was going on /off when I tried that)

Thanks for the props everyone. Definitely was a fun tourney and would like another one to happen. Good comp lots of cool people there too. I’m down for the bi-weekly idea once it gets up and running, but it’s going to take a team effort. I know Mike B was willing to help as well.
Pimp, I don’t like online sf4 too much, offline is always better. But if the connection is solid I don’t mind playing some games because it’s still fun, just not perfect as offline would be. Unless it’s on a laggy hdtv offline lol. One has been doing sf4 sessions at his place very often, Mike B and others said they wouldn’t mind doing them as well, so we should try to get together and play as much as we all can.
