Someone sounds salty that the best places in the world are the left and right coasts.
Didn’t those reports as well state how much was made or loss based on arcade/console sales? I remember looking at it and seeing that their arcade sales almost broke even while they loss at console sales which I find ironic.
SFIV lost money on console sales?
No bro sfIV is the highest selling fighter world wide of all time at this point.
I hate to say this…
… but y’all are a bunch of mewling infants, getting owned by a toddler.
All I’m hoping for with an arcade release is the god damn battle cards in America. Tekken 6 has it in America and SF4 doesn’t? come on capcom…
I have never seen an arcade in my life.
Seriously the arcade has not kept me hype about fighting games…
So ranix and the others do not make blanket statements.
I think the point he makes is that a lot of the things you learn in the game are from the Japanese players who would be non-existent without the arcade release.
Nothing to do with whether you go to the arcade or not.
The world doesn’t revolve around you.
Signed. Please bring SSF4 to arcades.
Especially for those of us with no console.
n00b question: Do they have cabinets with internet connections these days? (say to auto-download a patch every once in a while)
As I stated my opinion in another tread, I think they want to release the console ver as a BETA TEST and patch it as necessary, ones they are happy they will release the final ver of the game in the Arcades.
Well that is my opinion, dunno if the Arcade cabinet can be updated with out an big investment for the Arcades Managers.
For a game like SFIV it can cost a few thousand to change out the game. Now if the arcade has it setup on a console then they can download updates to it.
Im not sure if they all do, but im sure FFA has cabinets with internet connection. (family fun arcade.) I want to see an arcade release myself, more reasons to go to the arcade.
Well then my assumption wasn’t wrong and my theory sounds reasonable if you think Capcom has in consideration the investment of the Arcade Managers.
Hmmm… I wonder if Japan will go the Console in a Arcade Cabinet for SSF4 so they can play it on the “arcade” until a official release… hmmm…
Capcom, is SSF4 going to get an arcade release, or is it going straight to DVD ?
Well the arcades could just build a cabinet and put a xbox 360/ps3 in it.
The SFIV machines cost like 6k and its like 3k or 4k to change out the boards for a game update. Its :looney:
You’ll still be able to LAN SC2, you’ll just have to sign in to battle.net first.
Play will still be offline IE 0 latency, but this means you won’t be able to run an entire lan center with only 1 legitimate copy of the game like you can now.
Arcade release is definitely going to happen eventually…i mean, come on, its Street Fighter. Console will just be first. You should be thankful, this means that US might actually have a chance at beating Japan.
i want arcade.
No…the free market speaks for itself.
If arcades in the US were entertaining enough to make people want to visit them and spend money, then people would visit them and spend money. Its not the publics FAULT they found more entertaining/cheaper/productive ways to spend their time.
People don’t ragequit in person, that’s why people prefer online gaming to arcades.
