Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena

(Hmm…I wonder if there are going to be more Personas than characters given the number you can get in game.)

The only secret character I’d have a reaction to was if it was “Mary” from the first game, though it might be someone from the side games; I’ll laugh extremely hard if it’s Dante.

Then again, if it’s a secret boss, it’s probably someone from the Velvet Room.

You’re not one of the people who was I directing my comment towards despite your liking of cygnus’s post.

Yours is actually a valid opinion since you’re still giving the game a chance despite having legitimately more against it than most other people given you have problems with the company’s direction as a whole; I know I would be extremely skeptical if, say, Midway/Netherrealm Studios did a game for Hunter x Hunter or One Piece or Avatar: The Last Airbender or something despite liking those properties. That compared to just kvetching about one (series of) game(s) that the latest development team did at every possible chance despite the fact (IIRC) that most of the very same team was largely still involved with a first, “beloved” series. So you’re still posting here to show interest rather than either troll really lazily or very stupidly embarrass other people who like Guilty Gear who aren’t so insecure about it that they have to constantly bring up why Blazblue is supposedly an abomination onto mankind.

There’s a difference between having reservations about something and being a whiny bitch about it, especially when there’s nothing to whine about yet.

The “guilty until proven innocent thing” seems kind of backward, especially since it’s coming from an already established property.

I can understand not getting “hype” about the game and wanting it to prove itself, though. As long as people are willing to give it a chance, then whatever. I’d rather not have people using it as an excuse to bitch about Blazblue though, especially if they’re only going to say it’s going to suck just because Blazblue is vaguely related to it.

I am interested in the game because of the persona universe. Even if netherrealm studios made this game, I’d still give this game a chance, but of course I’d have reservations hahaha.

We shall see though.

If Fuuka is playable i’ll get into this game no matter what lmao

never played persona, but if its a good game ill give it a shot. dont see it having much of a scene around here

This game would be best time than any to re-introduce everyone other than the main character having multiple personas. If they decide to include fusion personas than we’re looking at a huge list.

i played this game on ps2. i guess i’m pretty excited to play it :>

Arcana Heart (multiple personas)+ GG(I am just assuming because of the burst bars) + JoJo’s = Persona?

don’t know why you’re saying ill. i rather have a arcade final fantasy fighter over persona any day of the fucking week. don’t get me wrong, persona is dope. but c’mon son, squall, lightning, cloud, cecil plus others? no way in hell persona would compete over an all star cast like that.

Lets not even contemplate the possibility. My heart couldn’t take the letdown.

While I understand the point, I do want to point out that part of your argument assumes that a dev team will have an unchanging or always improving level of competency, which just isn’t true. For instance, the person who produce Devil May Cry 1 is not the same exact person who made DMC3 as that person has accumulated knowledge and experiences that have effected his work. Not the best example since DMC3 was an overall improvement over DMC1, but it still works in the case of the lose in atmosphere in the third game.

Anyway, the point of the matter is that it is quite logical to love everything made from pre-2007 Guilty Gear team and hate everything made from post-2007 Guilty Gear team as they are not the same *exact *team.

On topic, I see bursts, I see tension, I think I saw a guard bar, do I see GG 2.5X?

Final Fantasy already has its fighting game. So does Tales. Give the less accessible JRPGs some love too.

MAKE IT HAPPEN, ARCSYS

how is it established? its a completely new fighting game. the series it’s based on has no bearing on how the system and gameplay are designed

A much stronger example would be Sonic Team. Pre-2001 Sonic Team would cry seeing what post-2001 Sonic Team has become.

DMC1 was Kamiya who went onto do Bayonetta.
DMC2-4 is Hideaki Itsuno… all over the place… but 3 is arguably the best in the series.

no problem. i’m not saying persona doesn’t deserve an fighter. i was just addressing that specific post that made it seem like an 2d arcade final fantasy fighter would be wrong. i’m happy for you persona fans though, know ya’ll must be hyped as fuck.

theres gonna be plenty of baseless positivity in this thread so whats wrong with some baseless negativity to balance it out. you never see the “i think this will suck” crowd shouting down the “THIS IS GONNA RULE!” crowd but you see the inverse all the time.

You do realize Dissidia: Final Fantasy exists right? Or go play some Ergheiz if you have that much of a hard-on for Cloud.

Hype as shit, i do hope it plays a bit faster then Blazblue though.

Emo Fighter 4: Git Edition.

Maki.

And I co-sign for Baofu.

oh whateveeeeeeeeeeeer I’ll play it.
