Had a lot of fun at PAX. Was really happy with the amount of respect SF4 was given, there were at least 3 companies in the exhibition hall running multiple tournaments for it through the weekend. Not to mention the tight setup with the HRAPs and bunch of chairs around it in the free play room.
Also, thanks to Robert for helping me and the rest of our crew out.
Yeah, the HRAP setup was definitely my favorite part of the show, I love playing the luchador for a crowd. The matches I had with Jared were nuts, was a ton of fun.
Yeah I agree that set up was cool and made me realize that HRAPS are pretty good sticks when you rip all of the plastic off of it. It was funny how I was winning at that set up until I left so the crowd went from cheering me on and the “OOO” after a combo to cheering when I lost and “Oh geez” after a combo lol
GGs to everyone. And GG to all those that went around the exhibit hall with me and kicked it (Frank, Matt, Dale and others).

The HRAP set-up was basically the WWE crowd’s. Doesn’t matter who wins, as long as someone loses in a sweet way.
I loved the crowds reaction when I dodged your Ultra, jumped off the wall, and then Ultra’d you because you had like 3/4 health left and then you died and people were like “WTF?!?”.
I think if we have the same amount of people turn out next year for the SF4 tourney, we should do double-elimination for the people that get out of their initial pool. The schedule listed SF4 from 12:00 to 8:00, but we got done at like 4:00.
I’m sure this will be considered by Robert, but seeing as set rules were in place, and this being the first SFIV tournament he’s ran, it was safer to stick to what was in place already instead of changing things on the fly.
