I’ve been practicing this part of the combo, I can’t get the QCF MP to connect at midscreen. Is there some trick to it? The s.HP(2) always seems to knock them out of range. Am I just not cancelling quickly enough? Thanks!
They’re gonna have enough time to tech before you can otg with it sadly. You might as well just tech chase and pressure with avery.
After seeing Rogue’s 1v3, feels like what I spent a millennia on is outdated.
But still gonna post it anyway cause I’m a shameless penis. That and didn’t see anyone posting about countering bursts so trying to bring at least some tech to the table

I think the timing might be character specific at that part, you could always do QCF HP HP HP instead, just have to do it fast enough to combo, but slow enough to let them drop so Argus Agony can hit. I did notice you cannot get one of the hits in the second ground combo against Peacock because she is so tiny.
lol expect the hate mail expect the hate mail…
I’m glad to hear Hornet Bomber is turning out to be a success. Personal theoryfighting victory…
I’m assuming it can get blown up if you don’t protect it if you miss after they baited it, though.
i main solo peacock and jeez what do you do to keep cerebella from destroying you? it’s practically impossible to keep her out since she’s so easy for her to get in your face
The Typical Shadow Of Impending Doom doesn’t work all that well and all it takes for her to grab me once and I’m dead
LOL you moved your post hella quick.
anyways, idk what you’re doing but a good peacock is a pain to go through even when I have assists covering Bella.
I still havent dabbled with Peacock so idk her moves but its mainly the walking bomb, the airplane and what i think is her j.HK (weird bird thing that drops in an arc), add the weird crap that keeps dropping from the top of the screen and mixing those things up+teleporting makes it really hard to catch her.
Obviously having an assist like Napalm Pillar will make your zoning better, but it seems you wanna go solo so…
Anyways just wanted to let you know that if its done right you can keep her out for days.
As long as you’re out of direct range if they punish the assist you can easily punish your opponent. I’ve done it a lot and it works very well as long as your fine with your 2nd/3rd character taking some hits. This goes for just about any assist really not just Hornet Bomber.
In this part
in midscreen they are too far away for the j.LP after the dash to connect. Help?
I’m running Motorcycle assist for the lulz. (Parasoul’s H Engret Charge)
My personal favorite.
I managed to win a couple of money matches at a tournament last night mainly using my Paracock team and occassionally solo Peacock’d. The only times I did lose was when I switched to Double and Cerebella. Peacock has a lot of great stuff and can even do some rushdown. I don’t truly believe that she lacks an anti-air. Her hard bomb just covers that certain angle but you can also use item drop as sort of anti air though it can be blocked, but it will delay the opponent some from getting close to you. I was whoopin a lot of ass, but the game’s still early and there’s a lot more for me to learn.
lol, bomb does 3k unscaled?? i got a combo idea in which peacock is now getting at least 9.5k from zero meter (1v1) and even more if i can apply some other ideas i had.
this has given me some ideas, since you figured out how to use some buttons i haven’t for extensions.
Peacock + Double’s HK Hornet Bomber Assist… My God. If the player knows what he’s doing this might just be THE zoning team for this game.
lol i never get that assist when i try to pick it(using a ps3 controller)but either way I’m crappy with double so not like it would do me any good for long
actually nevermind… with the ideas i xcopied from iReidYou’s vid, my current max damage gun super combo is 9918 so with the new bomb combo i estimate she’ll get around 120k when i can execute it lol. can’t cap til i get home, so heres the notation:
Spoiler
2MP > 2MK > 5HP(2 hits) > 236LK > 5LP > 2MP > 2MK > 5HP(2 hits) > 236LK > 5LP > 2MP > 2MK > 5HK > 236LK(late) > 2HP > 5HK > 236LK > 5MP > 5HK > 236LK > 5MK > jMP > jHP > airdash > jLP > jMP > 5LK > 5MP > 2HP(late) > 5HK > 236LK > 2HK > 214[LP] > 2LK > 5MP > 5MK > jLK (3 hits) > jMP > jHP > airdash > ]LP[ > jMK(late) > 2LP > 2LP > 2MP > 2MK > 5HP(2 hits) > 236HP HP HP > 236PP
this is also a meterless death combo in 1v3 as they die well before you even have to super…
You need to do the full dash, the hitstun on j.MP is surprising, you can’t just press dash and then j.LP because of Peacock’s weird airdash, you need the momentum to start. It’s easier (and actually better I re-figured out haha) to only do 1 hit of j.LK which will make the spacing even easier.
I faced this today, SOOO rage inducing haha. I play Painwheel on point so I had to be VERY patient. Luckily his combos are still lackluster so I could go wild once I got in but he wont stay that way for long.
HK Hornet Bomber is a full screen, invincible, anti-airing, lock down assist that also knocks you back fullscreen and guess what… IT HIT-CONFIRMS INTO PEACOCK’S ARGUS AGONY >.<
That’s just to begin with.
You can teleport behind them at the end of it just as easily and do a combo.
Edit: Here’s something to start with.
There are probably way better options as i am not that familiar with peacock yet.
HK hornet bomber assist, Teleport, cr.hp, st.hk, Argus Agony.
2v1. 7467 (damage varies ofc depending on timing and how many hits you get of the assist.
Let me start by saying “screw you solo cerebella”. I literally ran into one almost every other game and my normal MF/Valentine team would just get stomped. Valentine would put up a little bit of a fight due to some decent range/cross up pressure. But one mistake is like 75% of your health. Eventually I just said you know what I only played Peacock to beat story mode on hard (She is the easiest character to beat the AI with) but after getting the same cerebella player 3 times in a row I figured to hell with it. I will give Peacock a try and just zone him out.
All I will say is I now have a counter pick whenever I run into one of these stupid Cerebella players who literally have an entire game plan revolving around winning from a single grab. So thank you Peacock. You make every quarter circle motion so satisfying.
That helps hugely, thanks
Rogueyoshi, you report back here as soon as you get a sweet ass Lenny super combo. That’s actually something I wanted to figure out myself as well. YOU WILL BECOME A GOD… in the Peacock thread anyways.
Also, noticing alot of Peacock’s (myself included) committing to Bang (HP) alot. It seems like it would make more sense if you just used s.hp, then cancel out of it with whatever the situation may bring. I felt like that’s improved my zoning a bit (when I remember to do it).
