if it drops one frame it has the potential to ruin a combo game set match i need not play it and i’d rather not waste my time playing on pc when no one competitive is playing on pc

PC is not reliable thus there is no reason to host a tournament on PC
its already been established that players can play on w/e system they prefer, at Jermoie’s house.
pc is not reliable and should not be used for tournament play for that reason.

i just don’t understand why people are okay with frames droping.
1 frame drop could cost you a combo
meaning against a ryu for example you could get DP fadc ultra’d
if you guys don’t find this as a problem fine host a tournament on PC.
however i would urge all people to not participate in a PC tournament, nothing against jerome at all this is not an attack i’m just looking out for the scene competitive edge.
and yes why are you responding you’ve yet to make a valid point arguing that PC is decent yet other than “it feels fine to me.” so please stop responding.
p.s. i’ve got nothing against you as a person i think you’re great the few brief times we’ve encountered. i just really believe in this that science over faith will prevail in a material world.

I explained above in great detail how the PC version does not “drop frames” any more so than any console or arcade machine and until you post something I can read about it from a source that is reliable rather than just your opinions you are doing exactly what you accuse Kurt of in the post above, so please take your own advice.
As a scientific player with concerns for the community I am sure you will have no problem digging up a study or some factual information to back up your claims so that we can all see what you are talking about and judge it for ourselves. This is my second invitation to you to put up some information, try not to ignore this one so this can stay productive.
Didn’t the big screens at EVO have some lag on them? I heard that there were several issues with stuff at EVO even on the small screens with PS3s. I lot of people claiming stuff.
I’d suggest doing the tournament on the PS3, but I don’t see anything wrong with playing on the PC, maybe just of causals. It’s like playing guitar, the best players can play excellent on any guitar regardless of how it feels to play on them. A lot of guitars have different fret lengths and different space between the strings and the fretboard, making them feel really different, but someone who can pick one up and play it well no matter how it feels is awesome.
Blaming the PC for dropping 1 frame reminds me of tournaments I went to in the past where guys would blame their controller not working for why they lost a match. They totally might be right but it comes across as unsportsmanlike. I’d rather have us play on the PS3 because I really don’t want to watch fights start over something like that again. :wasted:

I am totally ready to run the entire thing off one PS3 if I have to, I never once said I was going to force PC to be the platform so do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
It’s just a misconception on their part and the truth is right here to be found if you simply ask. You will benefit greatly in any relationship, even a forum, if you simply ask rather than assume.
Also, you might want to sign up before having opinions on something you’re not even involved in. It kinda looks bad after the 4th repetition with no meat behind it. I was never asked in any way what platform I would be using before it was assumed that it would be PC only. If anyone asked me for anything I would do it for them because I trust the players to know what they want. I am gonna stop short of being impolite here but you might want to think a little before you bring assumptions to my round table. Nuff said.
By now you guys should know which peeps do the complaining on here. The more attention you show them the longer it always draws out. Just let them get it out of their systems and ignore em. Doesnt solve anything tying to reason with them. On a side note, GGs yesterday had a blast playin on PC…oh wait…it was PS3 lol.
