Does anyone know the time the stream starts, or even the link to the stream?
The frontpage isn’t advertising the stream, I couldn’t find the time or link to the stream on TYM, and same thing with the official post for the tournament.
Lol I haven’t had the chat on for a stream in a big tournament for awhile now. Once you get near 1000 viewers it becomes a clusterfuck of scrubs trolling or complaining about the character that is winning (how it needs to be nerfed and what not). Stream monsters are the biggest batch of idiots out there, I doubt even half of them actually play the games.
My favorite people in chats are the theory fighters that know absolutely nothing about the game. I remember in 1 chat one time some theory troll was trying to convince me Akuma-Abel in Super is a 6-4 matchup in Abels favor. FFS if you are going to theorize everything at least have some knowledge about the game.
Joke tournament, joke experience.
I believe Perfect Legend when he said the stick wasn’t functioning properly, especially after seeing it finally crapping out in the next match.
What a way to lose 10k$ lol
Forgot about streams blowing up when someone with two X chromosomes shows up.
When Candace was attempting to answer stream questions for PDP … you’d think everyone there was a 12-year-old boy going through hormonal instability and somehow allowed on a +18 room.
If the stick was faulty he should have stopped playing after 1 round or 1 match to get it checked out. There’s nothing else that could have been done - the stick doesn’t scream out ‘fix me’. He’s good enough to run it back in any case.
Don’t worry guys, post-patch a lot of tier whores are going to drop Kung Lao anyway because of the damage nerf he’s getting. He’ll still be top tier despite this though. But at least we’ll see less damn Kung Laos in tournaments.
I still can’t believe there was 4 stupid Kung Lao mirrors at PDP.
This just makes me more hype for EVO’s MK9. The game will have been out for a few months, with some patches and bug fixes under it’s belt, people will have more match-up knowledge and should punish better, and people will be able to play on whatever form of controller they want.
Cyrax showed to be quite competitive, but it also showed that getting rid of the bomb trap would neuter him. I think he’s in a pretty good spot right now.
If Cyrax had a 50% real combo, people wouldn’t be nearly as worked up. People just freak out over a portion of it being inescapable, but that’s how all combos work.
If anyone showed to be a little off, it was Raiden. There’s just no good answer to that teleport. He can do it whenever the hell he wants pretty much.
You can’t possibly make this statement without knowing the nature of the nerfs. If Kung Lao is doing 10% damage per combo, there’s no way he’s top tier. A sizable damage nerf might hurt him pretty badly. He’s one of those characters who starts strong but as people learn to play against him he weakens. We saw far more punished spins than last time, and that made the better kung laos really stick out from the weaker ones. More learning of the matchup will weaken him in the metagame even more.
The stick is fine…it just needs better parts in it LOL
yes PU2011 was about the game, PDP was corporate and was about $10,000 for first. It was boring to watch and i hope this is forgotten asap. this isnt what my scene is about.
And its a shame because some really good, cool people were behind this event and i love them, but this was a pretty lame weekend.
Totally agree with you. Power Up was 100 times more exiting than this PDP.
Though I still enjoyed watching Floe, PL and Michaelangelo’s Kabal. Kabal really surprised me with his mixups and resets. I almost want to main him now.
