PC Street Fighter 4 benchmark tool released

I nevah had no problems with Steam.

Steam can be alright, but it depends on your connection. I personally am going to get a hard copy of the game because its tradition lol. But I wouldn’t be surprised if steam had a free weekend of SF4 and cut the price for that time period. It might be earlier than expected since the game is already out and PC fighters are few and far between.

geez… 200k/s.

This thing is taking forever

wtf? how so? steam is sweet man.

You don’t need to be online to set Steam in offline mode. If you login and the program isn’t able to connect to the Steam server, it will ask if you want to start in offline mode anyway.

Id rather get steam then have to deal with SecuROM DRM bs that is loaded into the DVDs retail.

Maybe people would like SecuROM if they called it SexyROM.

Weird not seeing jaggies and the downscaling on ultra close ups. Can’t wait for this to get released.

i know that i’m a pain but i need some infos
some guys told me that my “Power Supplies” is pretty shitty since it’s just a UNbranded 250W, so they tell me to avoid a new graphic card.
Now the question is like this:
at home i have 2 power supplies:
1x 400W iXiX
1x 500W Q-Tec
What do y ppl think? I just switch the power sup. with one of them? I might have some problems with the 9600GT?
They told me to buy a new branded 450-500W Power Supplies but i’m not willing to pay extra money for it, since i got 2 at home i just want to change my Graphic Card with a 9600gt but i don’t know if the all thing will collapse with those powersupplies… any help?

:encore:

Oh wow, been a Steam user for quite a while now. Never knew that sort of offline existed XD.

Interesting info, thanks

The highest FPS it hit was 135. All settings on their highest. I also had Aion - Tower of Eternity running in the background while I ran it.

its about 59-60 fps usually. :bgrin:
alt-tab out once and it shot up to 100+

If you don’t like steam, and don’t want securom from the retail disc… buy it from Impulse

Impulse is like steam, but the only time you ever need to load Impulse is to download and update the game. Any other time you can start the game from your desktop and it loads it like a normal game.

Impulse is great.

Have they announced the Impulse copy will use GOO DRM instead of SecuROM? Last I read it was still up in the air. Just because its on Impulse doesn’t mean it won’t have SecuROM (just like in the past Capcom has released games on Steam that still included SecuROM).

EDIT: Whoops, forgot to paste this:

SCORE: 6544
AVERAGE: 59.43FPS
OS: Windows Vista™ Home Premium
CPU: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E8500 @ 3.16GHz
Memory: 4094MB
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series
Display Setting: 1280x1024 60Hz 8xAA

I got rank D…

Seconded.

Nope. Digital distribution for SF4 will use SecuROM with the exception of Steam, which will Steamworks authentication(like Valve games).
There is a post by Sven some time ago on capcom unity. sorry can’t be bothered to google for the link.

EDIT: nevermind. looks like nothing has been announced one way or the other for impulse

Anyone else experience this? I’m wondering why it doesn’t detect my actual clock speeds, just goes off the default processor specs. I’m at 3GHz, but it detects it at 2.4GHz (e6600).

I’m rocking a crappy 7900GS, but I can get 60+ at 1280x1024 with AA and 2xfilter and man it’s disappointing how damn good this looks compared to the console version (and I game @ 1080p, 50 inches).

Diegoae86, Theres a HUGE ass thread on this topic. HERE

To sum it up, I believe they have come to the conclusion that your TE and SE will work flawless if your motherboard is using an INTEL chipset. It doesn’t matter what CPU you are using. Also your USB slots need to support USB 1. If you have your motherboard manual you can easily check it. Some people had to buy USB cards that actually support it. The brand can be found somewhere in the thread.

It doesn’t seem like operating systems play a big role if you actually have an intel chipset.

This is on standard settings.
I will get a better Graphics Card when Street Fighter IV PC is out, on-board stuff just does not cut it.
