the online itself is just the same shit as in the xbox, poor. Its just the same game as in videogames, but it may look better if you have decent hardware. Everything else is identical.
Thankfully I just tried it and paid nothing, if I had paid even one cent to Capcom it would have stolen my healthy sleep for months.
Inputskip, inputlag, … everything bad about online gaming is there, and more than enough of it.
It’s the same shit like on GGPO, it’s no fighting, it’s no competition, it’s just pressing random buttons and praying to GOD that what you pressed will appear onscreen, and about 90% of the time your prays won’t be answered.
GfWL is still the worst software the world has ever seen, you have to wait fucking a minute for it to log in into its worthless database every single time you even think of starting this game. Still causing lags every now and then, i.e. when you got an even more worthless achievement for doing something completely unremarkable.
Additionally simply -every- single player playing the PC version is a button masher like never seen before. Absolutely regardless if he has 0/0 points or 2500/2500, fucking SF4 is already out for 3 years, can’t people grow some brains within such an unlimitedly long period of time? 50% of the players I saw were Ken players mashing LP.srk 99,2% of the time, and only every 10th one is somewhat punishable, since the (tangible) ~2 frames of recovery are protected by lag, if not by god himself. Not to talk about the Blanka or Balrog players, which no one ever could possibly like anyway.
Additionally the PC version has graphical issues, crashes every minute, has wrong translations behind every corner and on top of everything, the “movie” folder is fucking ~2,6 GB sized, filled with FUCKING WINDOWS MEDIA 9-CODEC VIDEOS. Not talking about the fact that the openings/endings for all characters no one could ever possibly care about are basically just idiotical stills.
God, Crapcom, get your shit straight… out of my way.
It’s not working.
It’s Alt+Enter…
I don’t know how a lot of you are having such bad experiences with AE PC online. If you have Anti-Aliasing and the Filtering (Anisotropic?) maxed out that could easily be your problem. I remember in left4dead these two settings would cause a very noticeable mouse lag and I figured it would do the same for Sf4 so I lowered them down to like 4x. Now I know the game is going to suggest that you can have your settings higher, but just try it out.
Also, if you don’t want to take a chance with the fixed/smooth problem. If you host your own game and you are set to “Fixed” framerate, this automatically forces your opponent to use “Fixed” as well. Remember to just kick everyone without green bars or an “A” benchmark, then your golden. If your not golden, maybe it’s you? Get your drivers, get off your torrents, and hide your husband, cause you’re lagging everybody out there.
@drunkninja42, so many people seem to forget they have mics on and it can be hilarious! I heard one guy slam on his desk and smack his mic. off his desk or something when he lost. I was like OOOH HE MAD, probably cause he lost to such a bad oni player.
LAG LIKE HELL
PATCH THIS SHIT CAPCOM
The game runs with 1000 fps and I have set it to fixed, my driver is fine and my PC has no problems in any kind of aspect.
So yes, not my PC’s fault, not mine, but Crapcom’s and its endlessly idiotical ability to do EVERYTHING wrong possible and even fucking more, every, single, time.
It’s ran great for me so far. I’ve only had a couple fights with any significant lag issues. Their system is doing pretty well to filter good computer/good connections with each other. The other times, they were probably stupidly trying to run something in the background, record or their AV randomly went on. It’s felt better than 360 to me.
Your game needs to run at 60+ fps to avoid any issues. You’re the one below that, so you’re the one causing the issues. Once you’ve switched it, you’ll almost certainly have a better experience.
i can do constant 1 frame links with akuma online, its pretty good.
Easily the best version available. Online is smooth as butter.
You had an 9800 GT and you had to run your games on the lowest resolution? Ever heard of the term bottleneck?
Anywho.
Running the game maxed out isn’t my issue, I can run the game maxed out in arcade mode and stay at 60 fps and up. The problem starts when I go online…which means my settings are too beastly for majority of the people I’m playing…so the only way to fix that is to make my settings as shitty as the person I’m playing…all I had to do was turn down my AA…and after that AEPC online was smoother than the console version by a longshot…
But Al3zay I hear you…I’ll upgrade my videocard when I need to…it’s not point in updating my videocard for this game when my system requirements are above…and you do realize there is no real graphical change from VanillaPC …right?
Stop talking out of your ass. If your pc is good and you aint playing 3rd strike on ggpo everything is damn good playable even 3rd strike which has some probs with ggpo.
Maybe ur crappy wallmart connection is the problem.
My connection is the only one on GGPO which is not made of liquid square-shaped idiocy.
And of course I play 3S, every man plays 3S and 3S only.
My words resemble truth and everyone denying shall repay his sins before Blanka.
Its just so sweet on PC.
Everyone should own THE definitive version of AE IMO.
hey guys is there a guide as to how we can upload replays to youtube?
9800GT would be great on my PC. I’m running a 8600GT and the game still runs great.
Much better on pc if you have a good setup. Runs smooth as butter.
Judging by itself, it’s amazing. Graphics are superior and you even have tournament mode avaiable.
However, people with crappy computer really fuck up the experience, there’s a lot of variation in the quality of matches. Also, competition is really, really bad, you’ll see a fuckton of Sagat, Bison and Fei Long players from vanilla. I guess this is how the japanese felt when they’ve had acess to AE for months and these primitive people only now have tasted the salt of Yun.
Competition is so bad I actually feel like a pro player now. I’m kinda livin it up!
